Just need to put this somewhere because it cracked me up. My MIL (67) is retiring from teaching next year. In a conversation with my husband she said she wants to find something to do with her time and then suggested that I get her a job at my company… a SaaS startup where i am one of the older employees at 35. This also isn’t some “awww” moment. My MIL has some mental health issues and lives in a fantasy world. So it’s not going to go away 🙃.

Anyone experience an out of state move, and your employer uses a cost of living analysis to cut your salary? Seems like benchmarking a certain position in that city would make more sense.

It’s been a couple weeks since I turned in my resignation leaving tax and busy seasons forever. For 3 months my hair was falling out in clumps. There were tumbleweeds of hair all over my house. Since I’ve left I have not shed one strand of hair. Coincidence? I think not. I’m scared I am now in school starting a new career and being a poor student again. When I have doubts I think about my hair and my health and think I made the right decision.
