Setting boundaries up front in a tactful way has always worked for me. Yes, I pull the occasional long day but that’s like once a month. I’m always done by 6.
So many projects are scoped wrong from the jump.
Make sure you charge the hours that you work and see how they start to reduce quickly. 18 hrs charge will make you twice as expensive.
Same at 12h. It’s just going to be a snowball.
12h isn’t good WLB.
Just curious, what do all you guys consult on? I’m working 10 hrs a week 🤫
Lol ew

18 hour workdays are brutal Out of curiosity - would you rather work 1-2 months straight of this (or even better 12 hr days) or 9 months-potentially a year or more of barely 6 hrs a day?
I enjoy my time away from work, so if I’m charging for a 40hr week but only working 30 so be it. I can live in good conscious knowing that I’ve done all I can and the project is moving along smoothly… there is no set rule that I have to work myself to the grave
