If you get in with a scholarship you could treat it as a two year vacation, but don’t forget the opportunity cost of apparently $600k lost comp
No lol HXS is a joke - esp if you’re making that much money already
Bruh, where you making that cash? Wtf? That’s some serious change you’re pulling 6 years into your career. You don’t need an MBA.

I learned SQL while during on a consulting project. My clients were pretty data driven, and I had a non CS Eng degree so it was probably easier to learn, and the insights were appreciated by my clients.
Analytics including high level stuff such as explaining insights / data well in presentations to detailed skills such as pivots + formulas in spreadsheets, ETL in SQL i.e. analytical functions, joins on data sets with millions rows, 50+ columns, ability to talk with data eng on issues with the data.
To sum up, different ways to get raw data into insights, and being able to explain the insights well.
I will say all of this is just a tool that I probably use 25% of the time and support the project I'm leading. I'm not creating dashboards all day for others. This also reduces my reliance on a separate analyst when working on something critical. Hope this helps!!
Why do you want a MBA? Seems like you have a very poor business case for it.
Agree with EY1 or get sponsored ...but still not worth it
Extension school at H is not an MBA..

300k and good WLB after 6 years in? Messing w this formula/trajectory has more of a chance of f*ucking up the future than making it better imo
Don’t waste your time. Top MBA comp is like 200k
I would imagine that is just starting right?

MBA + SWE= $$$ + leadership of tech.
No joke though, there is nothing greater in tech than an engineer that has the MBA lens

Once again you lot focus on the wrong things, you go get a degree and assume the degree is what helps Lol. As I mentioned in my post earlier its not the idea of flinging you have an MBA. The MBA program helps you to think like business folks, gives you an opportunity to network and meet great folks from diverse backgrounds. The experience during and after the program is what gives you an edge not the certificate. I know a bunch of engineers with an MBA and it’s really opened doors and made them more dynamic. If it’s free and you really want to learn then think about it or speak folks that are actually engineers or in tech..
Or do you guys recommend another Masters in something management oriented?
Depends on your goal - why would you want more education?
Look into a cert that you can self study for or pick up a coding language.
How about a side hustle! Instead of spending $$ on an MBA, make money on the side!
Well for one you can’t get an mba at HXS
....y’all hiring?
