I feel like it’s getting harder to exit to industry from consulting. Industry roles increasingly seem to be looking for a technical skill set that most consulting roles don’t help you to develop. Excel, PowerPoint, and “critical thinking” don’t seem to cut it anymore. Anyone else noticing this trend?

I just put in my two weeks to go to an AM 100 law firm to work in a niche practice area. I've never worked in a firm before. I started of doing compliance (non-attorney role) and then went in-house (acting GC for medium size company got a year). Any advice for someone who never had firm experience?
