Is unlimited pto a scam? (In industry)
Ex-KPMG: contract says 60 day notice. How strict is that enforced? If you have 60 days of PTO, do you just take PTO for those 60 days or work 60 and pay out at end

How are firms handling the economic downturn in terms of billable hour requirements for associates? Are annual billable requirements being updated or mitigated in any way? Curious to see how other firms are handling this issue, and also afraid of not being able to take any time off until 2021 😳
How do you negotiate vacation time? For example, if I have a trip already cleared that’s about 9-10 days off in the next 2 months at my firm but go in-house (final round upcoming with me and another candidate meaning it’s at least 50/50), I don’t really want to start and then lose say 10 of 15 allotted vacation days right away. Anyway to negotiate those as exempted? Apologies if a stupid question, pretty new to this process
Have you ever took pto but was asked to work through it? I’m assuming this comes with the job but just curious what everyone’s experience at their firms have been like
Thought Social security stopped coming out at $142,500. Hit 145k this paycheck and was still taxed full amount. Is it because some pay is marked holiday/vacation?
If you get an offer and one of the new company benefits is unlimited PTO, has anyone really re-negotiated that benefit to be an actual vacation time length?

Have an opportunity to join a law school friend of mine at a small boutique appellate firm. Background is big shops (Big4 post law school) doing niche area of corporate deal work. Perhaps a good opportunity to have more control over my work and promises of growing the firm and taking the reigns one day. Seems like a good gig but a bit worried about the comp and lack of benefits comparatively. Would also be a huge shift in practice area. Any insights/thoughts?

How do you keep your endurance up while interviewing at multiple places? I went from hearing nothing for months to having 4-8 interviews a week. It’s a great problem to have, even if it’s been different kinds of draining when applying for jobs vs. prepping for and going through interviews.
