I just had a non lawyer provide an issues list to a contract. Get a response from me and then just disagree with it all. I was like 😂

I didn’t know going in house would be this wild lol

This is how we’ve always done it!

Love this one. My other favorite is “this will kill the deal!”

Sees odd clause added into template contract with a newly added (by sales) a boilerplate"Misc" section zs modifying the agreement and an exclusivity clause (none of which I put in)...

Me: (controlling temper) Hey saw your edits, what's the thinking or concern behind the additional clauses, etc.?

Salesperson: Oh, I saw them in another vendor contract and pasted them in. Remove it if irrelevant.

I will remove them. As they are irrelevant. And stop trying to do my job.

Thanks, bro.

Dude it’s nuts. Everyone is a google lawyer

“Oh I just saw that clause in another contract and thought I’d copy and paste it in”

Have a new boss and an annoying peer who thinks she is my boss. The last time I set the standard of how I wanted to be treated and it worked with my peer. They said no, and I asked them to send over written offer and I would let them know by Fri. They then email they are no longer offering me the position and repost it the next day:
