I can’t tell if you’re happy or not about companies having to post the salary!? Personally if the job fits but the base salary doesn’t then I don’t want to waste mine or the companies time by applying for the position. Having to post salary also makes it easier to know of your offer Is competitive
Yup I would love for them to let me know that the salary is between $1 and $9999999
I do fear smart companies start listing TC including every little tiny thing to make a big number eventually
But posting salaries is a good thing.
Thank you
It could be location dependent but I also think it’s so that they can justify paying less than the max listed if they feel you’re not quite as qualified as they may like you to be! Personally I would only factor the lowest number into my equation and anything I negotiate higher than that is extra!
I saw a job posting earlier this week with a difference of more than $100K between the low end and high end.
While that can be a typical salary band at large companies, they don't hire at the top.
Let's say it was $100k-200k band, many companies are unlikely to hire above $170-180k unless the person coming in is over qualified.
I’ve seen postings that say for Colorado residents the salary range is…..
Maybe there is a law in Colorado that salty must be published.
Yes Colorado has a law requiring job postings to have a comp range.
Some companies have complied, others have barred Coloradians from working to avoid following that law.
profit-sharing is always a scam. they said we got the maximum amount possible this year, if that was true I should have received 10.2k. I got 800 bucks lol
