I’m overall really knowledgeable about nutrition because I’ve done a lot of research and read nutritional labels. For me Noom was a bust. It didn’t teach me anything I didn’t already know and didn’t do much to motivate me. It can teach you important facts about nutrition if you could improve there.

You could always try it out for a little and see what you think (I wasn’t a fan but gave it a fair chance—some ppl really like it). Or contact their customer service, I think they’re pretty reasonable.

I’m using it right now and I’ve lost about 5 pounds in about 2 weeks. I’ve got another 7 to go. I like it so far, but I didn’t know a lot about portion sizes or calorie amounts in common foods. The psychological aspect was interesting at first, but now it’s getting a little tiresome. I don’t have food “triggers” - I just like food and tend to eat a lot of high calorie foods, which this has made me aware of. It’s definitely encouraging me to drink more water.

It’s good for that (for me). The other day, I skipped my morning workout, but I was hungry by mid afternoon and didn’t have many calories left in my budget. I knew I wouldn’t get through the day, so I went for a walk, which bumped up my calorie allowance. I’m now realizing that I don’t have enough calories without a workout, so it’s a good incentive for me to move. I eat pretty clean, but I want to be able to eat good food. The other day, I was craving ice cream, so I had a single serving of really good gelato. I had eaten so healthy for my other meals, the ice cream didn’t put me over the limit and I actually came in under my daily allowance. It works well for me because I can pick and choose what indulgences I want. I really like soup (which is low calorie and fills me up), but I also like cheese, chocolate, and full fat yogurt. I do both easily because I prioritize where to put my calories and don’t feel like I’m eating just “filler food.” I also don’t drink, which means I have more calories for food.

For moms in California - can anyone explain to me how the FMLA/Paid Leave works in coordination with EY’s sixteen weeks? It seems that all the new moms take 6 months and I’m trying to figure out how that works if we’re only given 16 weeks. My husband and I are currently waiting for an adoption placement so I have no idea when I’ll need to use it, but I’m hoping it’s sometime soon :) Since I’m not actually pregnant, asking these questions feels weird, but I keep reminding myself it’s okay. TIA!

Does anyone have any tips for how to get an exclusively breastfed baby to take a bottle. My son is 5 months old and since he was 1 month old, I pumped maybe twice a week and gave him the bottle. From around 2 weeks ago, he refuses to drink the bottle, even when he is very hungry. I have tried different bottles and ensure the temperature is warm. The milk tastes normal (I tried a bit!). :/

How normal is it to be pulled off a trial team because you tell your boss you are moving after trial? I have a trial coming up first week of Oct. This case has been my baby, and I’m going to try it with my boss. I tell my boss up front that, for family reasons, I’ve gotten a new job and will be moving to another city two weeks after trial will likely end. He then gives my trial witnesses to another attorney, but is still going to make me do grunt work. Is he unreasonable or am I?

Genuinely curious, I'm a Male and had a woman get physically aggressive with me yesterday and I could tell she was about to throw hands. Luckily the situation was de-escalated. But it got me thinking I have no idea what I would've done if she out her hands on me... My personal opinion used to be never put my hands on a woman unless my child or family is in danger or if she had a weapon But now Idk anymore

Daddy D is throwing around some pretty crazy referral bonuses right now. If I can hit four referrals, I’ll split evenly among all four + myself. Up to $10k per person and at least $2.5k per person. Put it in escrow and everything. So if you’re looking to change firms, a new opportunity, etc. DM me. Can easily negotiate a nice sign on bonus, and my offer should sweeten the pot.
