Hi Fishes, I have offers from PwC(risk advisory) and IBM(app development). Thing is that the PwC joining is at Kolkata location but I don't want to go there and stay. There is not much difference between the offers in terms of package(10 & 10.4). Can I ask PwC to provide WFH or change my office location for this? Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

I’m a high performer, and while the firm can’t give me spot bonuses right now, a partner gifted me an extra day off. Please realize what is happening in the world and know that your contribution will have some form of reward even if money is tight.
Awh that’s cute
Same! I’d move but visa issues are keeping me out.
I am feeling the same way.
Another way to think about it is that the reward is not gone, it’s more like the reward is just delayed. Your career is a long marathon and no leader with any sense would disregard true high performers. You may not be promoted now, but you’re still building your reputation and that’s how you get leaders to fight for you and sponsor you in the future. Plus, the growth you’re going through and everything you learn right now will still exist, regardless of your job title, so it’s not a waste.
This is true if you want to stay at your current company. If staying isn’t in your long-term plans, don’t put up with bad compensation; leave and go where you are valued.
Don’t keep a job for a title or shackle money- leave the moment you cease to learn and gain any benefit from it. You are your own investment- what will pay off is continuing to rise in your marketability, which is NOT determined and measured by some shitty raise that will be pennies to the dollars post tax and inflation. Are you able to land multiple interviews tomorrow and get counter offers elsewhere? If the answer is no invest your time on the job to do so while getting paid, then go get a salary increase elsewhere. Don’t get emotionally tied to your job- it isn’t how you’ll make real money anyway.
