Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!
We have classes CA, WI, PA, KS, TX, RI, MI, Canada, New Zealand.
I have a form to fill out if you are interested! I will email everyone the list probably at the end of the week if not sooner!

Yes. Your company can pretty much do whatever they want. What are you gonna do?
They can, and it's nauseating. A company I worked for added an entire city and surrounding area to the territory I already covered, with a different large city. No $ increase, but a lot more driving. Good luck!
Yes they can, if it's not in your employee agreement. That said, you certainly can ask for more compensation. It wouldn't hurt considering the steep increase in territory.
Agreed, they can do it but you can flag the added workload for sure
Wouldn’t the comp come from increase commission. I would assume existing producers would fatten up the trails and you could also make a killing on new deals ?
Ohhh that’s nuts. At minimum they should increase your cap. It doesn’t make sense on there end - you have no motivation to sell .
What is your comp structure? Are you paid commission for your work? If so, then consider it a potential 30% promotion. If not, then take a hard look at your situation and understand why you were given the larger increase. Are you one of the top AMs on your team and can handle that workload? Or are you toward the bottom and they’re giving you a lifeline with more opportunities to build your book of business?
We don’t even have our annual goals totally set yet , just a rough outline as we were awaiting this change….they did get ride of the DB pension about 10 years ago so only a couple of us have it….all of our leadership has been here for many years.
Do you receive a tiered salary based on territory size?
Do you receive commission/bonuses or straight salary?
Due to the pandemic my territory is now 2.5x the original size. And while I did not get the salary increase that traditionally comes with this size territory, I have uncapped commission and have done very well for myself. Personally, I would leave solely because on the capped commission.
Yes they can, had this happen in may of last year.
Doesn’t hurt to ask, with the job market being what it is… also doesn’t hurt to look. I’m currently leaving and got a 50% bump. It’s out there
Yes, this happens at all growing companies as the product gains more traction. However, what normally happens is territories get smaller and quotas get larger.
Most good salespeople would love to see their territory get larger, because they then have more opportunity to overachieve. However from your comments you said you were capped at 110%? That's possibly the worst policy you could dream up for a good sales person. Normally you hit accelerators at over 100% and you can make 2x+ your variable comp.
As a salesperson who tries to live in accelerators as long as possible, I'd 100% find a better company that's willing to appropriately pay their top performers a premium. Sales is a tough job and we do it because of the potential to earn $$$.
