You are both wrong. I am at NYL. My clients can buy all those things through our platform, as well as managed money through the RIA.

How much of a hair cut are you (or your clients if you pass it to them)taking due to plat form fee’s(I.e envestnet)?

If they have the appropriate licensing then they are capable of selling and servicing your investments and individual securities. Look on FINRA broker check to see if the person you met has a Series 7 and Series 65/66

like

The NYL rep that I met recently had to get his 6 and 63 licenses on his own with no support or training, so it sounds like just mutual funds.

Considered a top second year staff performer in my office and just got told I am being promoted to senior. Said the raise is between 3-4% but they haven’t finalized it yet. Seems awfully small to me. Moving from staff 1 to staff 2 I received a 10% raise ... so I’m blown away by the small raise this year.
