I'm working for a client in TCS. Got better offer from lti mindtree.
I resigned, my manager asked me if we can provide onsite, I asked for Canada, she said she can initiate. Visa may take like six eight months.
Can you please suggest how I can be assured that they will really send me onsite? I'm not sure how to ask for guaranty? Please suggest

You can't do it legally but no one cares. If you are making something which will directly or indirectly linked or better to say going to harm company reputation and someone is so keen to give you a bamboo in your ass then only you might some legal challenge else no one cares. There are N number of people doing other business along with the job

What does your contract sat?
I would think as long as the content doesn't compete with or paint IBM in a poor light. Might want to double check with HR first, though, just to be safe. What were you thinking about in terms of content?

I would personally only do it if the work is unrelated to your current job, and you don't say disparaging things about your employer. Plenty of people are influencers/social media people on the side and it's not a problem
