Can any at will employer adjust your salary unilaterally like we’ve seen done at several firms this year? Asking because I’m looking at some job offers and not sure how to assess the likelihood of a salary cut especially if the firm has done it before? First instinct is that they won’t lower it soon just because they’d look terrible right? But legally they could?

Depends on your agreement. In any employment at will state though, yes because they could terminate you and immediately offer to rehire you at a lower rate

like

Regardless of the employment contract, they could effectively terminate you and rehire you at a lower salary

like

Some contracts (not very common) call for the payment of the balance of the agreement if not terminated for cause) so that would make them less likely to go this way

Well they can't adjust your salary for time you have already worked. But yes, they can tell you they're offering you 5% less now. And you can either take it or leave.

Good question and the answer is no they cannot. All the firms that did this did not consider your point at all.

I’m currently on a cut. It’s my first ever cut since I’m a power lifter. My concern is I seem to be losing more muscle than I am fat. It’s been a month and the trend is continuing. How do I change this. I’m already in calorie deficit and incorporating cardio and light weights.

How does your department/company decide who gets what holidays off? Do you draw for it or decide it based on whose been there the longest? I don't have any kids so I don't mind taking one night shift or being on call one of the nights, but I'm working both Christmas eve and Christmas day at night, and I worked Thanksgiving night. I'd love to suggest a fairer way to decide to my director, but need ideas. Thank you
