At what point in my career as a receptionist should I consider asking for a raise? After one year? After five?

I'm an engineer and I love building things but based on what I've seen about Gen Z, I think I'm going to raise my kids in a less modern style. No TV, no internet, at least until a certain age.

I’ve been a general manager for a convenience store for almost 2 years now. I have raised profit after variable expenses by 13% compared to last year, and exceeding budgets in almost every category except for turnover. I got an 11% raise last year, but still only make $55k. My store profits about 17k a month on inside sales, and 160k a month in fuel. I think I deserve more, but I don’t know how to ask for it, and don’t know how to begin a job search aside from indeed. Any advice?

Anyone get to a point in your career where you’re up for manager promotion but realized you don’t want to manage people? What did you do then? I feel lost about where to go if I don’t want to manage. In strategy finance right now

I have joined infinite computer solution, and have resigned within a week by sharing mail. I told them to release me early or give me the buy out option as have some personal reason,but Hr denied everything and told me to serve a complete notice period.Also in the syste the HR has not initiated the resignation . And threatened me every tim that she will raise absconding for me.
And today I have not even received the salary, in payslip it's coming as LWP and zero salary .Feeling very helpless.

Rumbling in the office is that we are paid the lowest of the entire Cleveland market. Plaintiff L&E. Small firm with huge growth. New hires are offered $55k, most of us here 3 yrs make $65k. Litigation makes $75-85k. There are no goal posts for bonuses or raises. We never know if there will be a bonus or a raise. Hi All, I have been in TCS for the past 3.5 years. I have asked my supervisor for promotion, he gives excuses of Band criteria and COVID-19.
Will my promotion to ITA happen automatically once I complete 4 years in TCS or will it have to be done by the Actual process of begging managers and HRs to get the promotion.
Additionally, if I do get promoted to ITA, how many months will I have to wait to resign.

How is variable pay decided in accenture. I joined a year back and want to understand the process. I have 95% annual chargebility. I am a management consultant - band 9.
Also, what is the probability of getting a hike and promotion?
As far as I know, I am the highest chargeable person under my People lead for the same level (i.e. management consultant). All other consultants reporting to my lead have less than 70% chargebility.

When will EY FDD promotion be communicated in the summer? Will we know before it was communicated officially in the group?

Oct cycle promotion are not yet announced. So is it due to recession. Is it totally stopped for this year. Is it not necessary to send a official announcement to employees?

I've been at FCB Health NY for about 8 months now. I was assigned to a launch brand, which launched 2 weeks ago. I received a glowing 6-month performance review yesterday. My supervisor thanked me for on-boarding her (yes, you read that right) and all of my hard work juggling a high-volume work load. She said that she has recommended a merit-based raise and that our Creative Director agrees. She didn't specify how much of a raise. What is a typical merit-based raise for FCB/this industry?

Is it common for employers to take away overtime with a raise? Does it happen at a certain salary level? Company regulations? City regulations?

I have an offer from EY GDS and another from a mid size service based company ( but they are offering 5 lakh more On current EY GDS more) . Had a salary hike in April this year and now looking for promotion and my manager is ready to promote right away but without salary hike as i already had 2 salary hikes this year but will get that hike for promotion in salary in next April.
Other option manager is saying is to take promotion in April next year along with salary hike. Which one should i chose.

I discussed with my lead , he said if you really want to leave then prepare a good reason and leave on good terms, management will try to give lucrative offers so that you stay.


What are some safe resignation reasons to give so that
they cannot counter it and it looks genuine and safe as well.
