Can any women in nyc recommend a good salon/colorist for highlights? Preferably someone who uses olaplex or bond builder in their formula. It feels like you either really roll the dice or have to pay $450+

Tbh $450+ is going to be standard. If you’re willing, I’ve been going to The Hair Room in jersey city for years. They don’t use Olaplex but do use great products. I see Sibel, but they’re all great

Ahhh I love the hair room so much! I see Amanda and she’s also a fab colorist

Bumble and Bumble midtown or Chelsea. Go see Wyatt, she’s a gem.

I have friends who absolutely love Bumble and Bumble but when I went on their site their prices (with a mentally added tip) were about $400 for highlights… and no blowout! ☹️

Try Spoke & Weal

I need some advice. Where does the accountability sit for determining resource allocation of engineers? For background, we’re working on a feature for a customer which has meant the team working on it have had to borrow engineers from another engineering squad to aid with build. I’m being asked by the engineering manager when she’s getting her engineers back. I feel like this is not something i should be deciding and asked she discuss it with her counterpart and head of engineering

I'm so stressed and nearing my limit 😪. My design partner for several years now, loves to pretend she's the CD and markup my work. Historically I've let it slide because she has good suggestions. But lately she outright changes my copy and tells me later. I'm easygoing and they're good suggestions so I try to ignore but its getting worse and borderline disrespectful. We work exclusively together so if I rock the boat its going to get even more uncomfortable. What would you do?

Landed a job in NYC. As much as I want to live there and will be moving in with my partner I think the most financially savvy option is to live in Jersey city to save on the city tax. Both our salaries would definitely go up next year so moving to the city would be a huge possibility in 2022. Has anyone else started our in Jersey city first ? Is it worth it or should I just try to make it work in NYC ?

My previous landlord is requiring me to get a form notarized stating I no longer live in my previous unit and that I have moved out. They won’t give me my security deposit unless it’s notarized despite me being moved out of the unit completely, and my keys have already been surrendered. The lease doesn’t state this form is required. Anyone else experience this before?
