Just wondering if anyone else has gone through the process and is currently working at Monitor. I wanted to understand about the projects, hierarchy and overall culture at Monitor. It means everyone is out for themselves and will more than likely stab you in the back to get ahead. Which means you can't trust anyone to have your best interest and look out for yourself only.
People may cut your throat in order to advance their careers - typically when you aren't looking or unaware!
If you’re at Deloitte, you’ll experience the cutthroat culture first hand.
Finger on throat means death.
An example is you taking the lead on completing a assignment and you are working with a person who spends more time kissing ass than performing. Eventually said person will have convinced leadership and the client that the work YOU did is the work he/she did. Then eventually said person will isolate you from Team leadership somehow and then throw you under the bus for something minor. Out of nowhere you get reprimanded for something you didn’t do and all of a sudden the throat cutter is the Team star while you sit in the background knowing damn well they are taking credit for the work you did.
That sounds scary... what are some of the examples, if you don’t mind sharing?
It means I will act like I like you, so you don't suspect I will hurt you, until I see an opportunity to sabotage you publicly in a way where it makes me look better. Then you feel my knife across your throat, metaphorically speaking, as I slaughter you like a goat.
^not true. Apparently outsiders know more about the company
Is there a way to prevent these awful situations? Do we become the throatcutter ourselves?
