I have raised the request on 13th and the same still shows as Awaiting approval. How long would the approval take and is there any cut off date within which we need to claim the LTA in-order to get it along with our monthly salary?

I currently work for a small litigation firm that is merging/being acquired by a somewhat larger firm (but still fewer than 50 attorneys). Was wondering if anyone in a similar scenario has negotiated compensation and how that was received? I want to push for 15% of gross settlements on contingency cases (will now have a decent number of hourly cases) but don’t know if that is unreasonable.

Just absolutely disgusted at the state some attorneys leave their cases in when they know they’re leaving a firm. I’m sitting here drowning in deadlines that a former associate completely ignored. Trying to triage cases from deadbeat outgoing attorneys is infuriating. Honestly, don’t be this person. This bridge is so completely burned my entire firm has soured on this associate and it will be known that their cases were left in disarray.
