Was offered an exit to a startup for 16k additional pay + stock. Leaving my current role seems like a no brainer, but would love some feedback. What are some things I should consider before leaving?
Anyone willing to connect and provide coaching on how to get into MBB or management consulting in general? I recently have an interview with one of the MBB for EM position, I don't think I would get it, but interested in learning more as I've always wanted to do management consulting. I plan to reapply in a year or so.
Recruiter reached out saying I will be receiving an offer and wanted to get my comp expectation. I gave a reasonable expectation based on level of the role. Recruiter said that’s too high. I politely mentioned that I’m happy to work with what the comp team gets back with as I really like the role. They said they will submit my paperwork by end of the day. That was Tuesday. Haven’t heard back since. Does it take this long or they slotted someone else for the role during this timeframe?
Can someone at PwC explain more about their healthcare practice? Saw a role in the strategy/HC payer member practice and wanted to know more about it.
Got reached out to by a recruiter on LinkedIn, and set up a call to talk about the position. We talked on Tuesday and the call seemed to go very well. She said she would follow up by sending me the job posting to look at more in depth and confirm with the hiring manager that my salary requirements fit the position. I followed up thanking her for her time and expressing my excitement about the opportunity but still haven’t heard anything from her after our call. Do I follow up again?
Europe/Asia MBB: Anyone ever hear of the Junior Associate/Consultant role still going to get an MBA? Exp hire with 3 yrs of work here that is interested even though direct to Asc is an option.
Browsing through some tech role exit opportunities out there. Which of these three companies would you rather work for? HubSpot, Salesforce, or Charles Schwab?
Currently interviewing with Apple and anticipating an offer however, I’ve applied for the same role at Meta. I’ve reached out to a few recruiters on LinkedIn but haven’t heard back. Hoping someone here may be able to help? Not sure how the referral process works but I’d assume that I would have to do that before applying?
If you’re a non lawyer working in M&A tax or international tax, will you be at a disadvantage when it comes to promotion or exit opportunities?
I have a supervisor who nitpicks things the way you would for an intern or a junior and I’m trying to navigate. I had a positive 6 month review recently so I think she sees it as constructive rather than cutting me down. For example, she will ask me to attend a meeting in her stead or write an email for her and she will completely edit my notes or my email not spelling errors or anything but completely reformatting and there’s no real pattern to the way she does it so I’m not learning. Cont’d
Hi! What are your companies doing regarding sign on bonuses for interns this year? We ended up having our full intern program this summer and plan to extend offers. Are companies getting rid of sign on bonuses for entry level employees this year? Any insight would be appreciated!
The innocence of undergrad interns is truly endearing. Ah, to be an undergrad intern again...
New fish looking for career guidance. I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation. I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm. Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?
Anyone here able to qualify for a mortgage within a year after full-time b school? My wife and I combined make $290k now, but I’m hearing that lenders want 2 years of income history. Wife had her job, but I only had internship income during school. Would love to hear thoughts / experiences. Thanks.
I went from $64k to $116k when I left a prestigious public policy job 4 years ago to become a defense contractor. Given what I know now about this industry, exit opportunities, and what it put me through, I seriously question if I made the wrong choice and/or undervalued myself. Lesson: be very careful about jumping into federal and defense contracting, *especially* with a small company.
If anyone is looking for an exit opportunity locally at a 🦄, message me! I’m on the Corporate Strategy team at my firm and we have 6 open roles. We have amazing culture and fantastic benefits.
JamesLyonSSwe Is on Tik tok: graduated from Stanford , got his first internship at the 10th grade, interned as NASA during high school, worked as a researcher at Stanford, yet completed over 400 leetcode questions. Current a Software engineer at Airbnb and HE’S STILL LABELED AS A DIVERSITY HIRE under the comment!!!! This is the problem!
If you wanted to do a career change, would you be open to quitting your job to do an internship for work experience to get into your desired industry full time?
Interviewing for a role at Apple but found the same role at Meta this week. I applied to the position and reached out to a few recruiters via LinkedIn (haven’t received a response, sure they are swamped). Meta is remote whereas Apple is not, really hoping I can interview at Meta as the role is a perfect fit. Am I to late to do a referral? Would anyone be willing to help? Thank you in advance!!
I’ve lost family members to Coronavirus and have developed an anxiety disorder as a result. I have been coping with panic attacks for months. While I’m not considered “high risk”, the majority of my family is. I’m really freaking out about the thought of going back to in-school teaching. I have no problem doing live virtual lessons, but I honestly think that my anxiety is going to get in the way of my teaching if we go back in. I’m at the point where I fear I might have to quit the job I love...
If you really want to understand white privilege in this country imagine if you will what would happen if Black Lives Matter was plotting to kidnap a United States Governor?
Anyone know what McCann are doing with hiring?
Is it just me, or are there more attractive single mother on dating apps than the alternative?
Just finishing my first week in as an audit intern and genuinely I have no idea what I'm doing or even a general idea of the audit process. The senior associate left the engagement last week so it's just me and an associate, and they don't have time to give me instruction. Am I stupid or did the e-learns not prepare me for any of this? The training told me I'd be auditing cash but I haven't even touched a bank reconciliation.
What are some pre-public up and coming companies to look at that provide stock as part of compensation? Career is Business Intelligence and Consultant level.

Got an offer for a VP role at a PE portfolio company (large firm with many portfolio companies). While the specific company is not in a desirable industry, there are other portfolio companies that are dream gigs. How likely is it to jump between companies within the portfolio?
So has anyone decorated their door or room for the holidays? We have a contest at our school - My room will lose to the guy with the real tree and working fireplace, but I think it turned out pretty well. Does anyone have some holiday decor they’d like to share?
