What are the best consulting firms to work for in Chicago right out of undergrad based on salary and perks?
What salary range should I shoot for when applying for a technical project manager position?
Looking for a flat 2% credit card for my "other" purchases such as: - Citi double cash - Fidelity Rewards Visa - Wells Fargo Active Cash They're the same except the WF one has a $200 sign up bonus. Has anyone used any of these cards? Is the WF one a no brainer if the others have no bonus? My main hesitation is that I don't have a great opinion of WF lol. Also I have a personal loan through WF of like 15k with 0% interest for 5 years that I'm slowly paying. Will that hurt my approval chances?
Hi fishes, Can i know how much in hand sal for 14 L fixed as per new tax regime. If anyone's getting the same kind of salary, it would be helpful to know the exact amount.
My brother is in his late 30s and wanting to switch his career. What are the job profiles and companies that do not require specific experience or qualification and offer good salary packages ?
Was just accepted to a top grad program (not MBA). Now debating whether I should go. Uncomfortable at the idea of giving away my 6-figure salary to be poor again and feel guilty leaving my team (cont)
Considering making a lateral move as a biglaw (Kirkland/Sidley/Cleary/Paul Weiss type firm) mid level litigation associate in a major market to a similar firm in the same market. I don’t dislike my current firm or work, have very strong reviews, and good relationships with some key partners. Main motivation for lateraling is for potential of a significant signing bonus given the current landscape, and general uncertainty about future at my current firm. Would appreciate any advice/insights.
Sign on bonus pay back: Say I got 10k sign on and 6k is what I really got after tax. When I have to pay back, do I have to pay 10k or 6k to the company? In case of 10k, do I claim the difference during tax return?
Friday the CEO sends out an email proudly proclaiming that the company made $22 billion last year. Two hours later I am told on our team meeting that the bonus/raise pool is down from last year. I just have no words.
I’m curious of everyone’s views on job hopping. I’m on my 3rd job and have ~3 years of sales experience. Each job change has been an increase in comp and has shown clear career progression. At this point I’m working for a well known public company in SaaS, in their SMB segment, which has been great. But I’ve been approached by a smaller startup offering to double my base salary, 2.25x my OTE, and equity for an enterprise rep position. This is very enticing, but would I look like a job hopper?
Hi, Any anyone have any idea about current product/sr. Product manager salary in unicorn startups in India? (Maybe city wise say Bangalore, NCR). Actively interviewing and I think glassdoor data is bit outdated. Current Role: Product Manager Salary: 23 lpa Year of experience: 4.5
Joining Amazon in February. Anyone know what the comp payment schedule is? I’ve read monthly in some places and bi-weekly in others. Will ask the recruiter after the long weekend but was hoping someone here might have intel
Anyone else feel like they have golden handcuffs? At 7 YOE, I just don't see any other roles that offer over 350k TC for business roles. I'm really grateful for my current role, team and comp, so definitely not a compliant, but feels like I'll be here forever.
Coinbase takes way too long for Fiat transfer. What do people here use for a quick infusion of cash into their accounts? Credit card? Up till what amount?
How’s this offer look compared to what y’all are seeing? 5 years post-MBA (T-15) Industry: Industrials Role: Director of Strategy Comp: $200k base + $50k bonus + $50k stock (annual grant, vests over 4 years)
I started my first job out of college as an Engineer recently. I moved to CT and wow is it expensive here. My goal was to move down south in 2ish years but with Covid19 I figured to move earlier if the right job pops up. Only thing that is keeping me back is that my manager is awesome and a great mentor. I know that is difficult to come by in the engineering world... how long should I stay? Any advice for someone in their early career stages?
Being terminated as part of reorg. 13 years of service, consistently exceeded expectations. Officially considered partner. Package is 26 weeks of severance pay, two months "gardening leave", plus payout of long-term incentive. Would have preferred a more cooperative approach to voluntary retirement. Thoughts?
US citizen here, and I would like to move to Europe for a couple of years. What are some big named companies (other than big 4 & MBB) that will sponsor my working visa? I would also like to move early next year. Is that unrealistic though due to COVID? TIA 😊
KPMG lawyer filed both I-140 and I-485 back in February, but I did not see any medical form in the package. I-140 has been approved, but I’m still pending I-485. Should I be concerned if the medical form wasn’t included?
Came across a dated post on McKinsey Engagement Manager EM pay increases from associate. Keen on hearing from EMs working there. Is this post accurate in that if you were to accelerate within one year your pay is still basically associate level or does your pay actually change with position. Similarly how does bonus change? Even irrespective of promotions does salary materially change for say an A2 vs. A1? https://www.reddit.com/r/consulting/comments/4597qk/em_at_mckinsey_salary/
Why won’t ethnic so called groups come together and be Human for the good of ALL? Study history and no one can play the slavery, discrimination, removal from homelands, genocide card! From the beginning every ethnic cultural group has suffered them all. I can tell you that having worked on a local and national project to bring these groups together it is the adults that reject unity in favor of their special interest. Not so true of our students who are more accepting.
I have 6 years of sales experience as an AE/ account manager in the fashion industry on the wholesale side. I would like to make a move to tech sales. I've looked into boot camps and entry level positions but i am unsure what the best move is. Any advice for someone in my position?

2 year AP at McK interviewing for AWS BD L7 role in UK. What should I expect as total comp? Don’t want to waste all that time in loops and then realise this is totally off my expectations. I see L7 ranges at levels.fyi but these are all US baseline - I have heard UK is at different ranges
Hello. I work at a mid size erp/epm consulting firm and my base salary is not comparable to big4s. I currently make a TC of 105k with two years of consulting experience. I asked for a raise last month and now my TC will be pumped up to 126k at the end of year. I have been poached by many consulting firms and some are offering 135-150k TC. I have a masters degree in data science and 4 years of working experience. Does it make sense for me to look around even after I asked for a raise?
In Dallas for the week - why is everyone suggesting I go to Uptown for dinner/drinks/barhopping? Worth the hike? I'm by Chase Tower, was hoping to stay close 🤔
Where can I buy a good flat / house for 500k in London? First time future home owner on a PwC Manager salary (it’s not much) but have savings from my time in the US + parents will help a little bit if needed for the mortgage I’m 25 so does that make me early / late to the party as it relates to buying property?
