Work/life balance: Good flexibility if you need to sign off early, take an appointment during the day, not travel if you don’t want. Hrs/week have been ~55 hrs a week, spread it however you want as long as you hit your deadlines and coordinate with your team

Types of projects: launch readiness, pipeline analysis, disease area strategy, business development, LCM strategy, go to market

Types of clients: all types of pharma companies (large, small biotechs)

Culture: really collaborative, more conservative from leadership, decent autonomy over your career path, humble people

Is that out of chicago? I know 2 principals there and they are brutal to work for

You may be referring to our Priority Industry practice. I know a tough CHI principal there. Do you work for McK?

Haven’t noticed PLS in Chicago- know of heavier presence in SF,NYO,BO,PH

Probably means Evanston, and I am Evanston based. Theres 1 principal that I don’t particularly enjoy but I don’t know who the other one could be

I am a Sales Support Engineer (Applications Engineer) with 2 YOE. I am thinking about making a change because my job is no longer challenging, and there isn’t much growth opportunity in my company. I love my team, but I feel like I may need to move on. I am at 70k a year and have been told time and time again that I have learned faster than anyone they have seen and am a top performer. I don’t feel like I am being compensated for that either. Any suggestions on companies and target salaries?

Just had my annual review and my MD brought up getting my MBA, saying if I want one I should do it now before being promoted to Associate. I work in M&A and he says it’s not necessary to have one, but it has me thinking whether it would be worth it or not down the line. For context, I’m thinking of an executive MBA / weekend MBA at a top school. Knowing they cost $150-200k I’m not sure it’s worth it. Has anyone else gone through this or have advice?
