Can anyone explain to me why in 2016 a banking holiday still delays direct deposits to the next business day?

We get our direct deposits early if pay day falls on a weekend or holiday.

Yeah most companies send it the day before. Deloitte is the only company I've ever worked for that does this!

So apparently it depends on your bank as to whether or not they will process it today. Deloitte still should have sent it yesterday though. 👎🏻

So they can keep your money interest free for a day and make more money on the market 🙄 at least that's the suspicion, if I were their management I would see that as an obvious opportunity and pursue, so I imagine that's why

The problem is your bank. I got paid.

My company will be doing holiday party this year! It’s been three years since I went to a legit holiday party 🤣 I have been spoiled by past parties at the wardolf Astoria or tavern on the green and my last employer had really bad parties - think crappy dinner at a chain restaurant or white elephant exchange in the office. I am not making sense …

I have working at the same brokerage firm for the last 27 years. I make $27 per hour with no annual bonus and I was just told I get no paid time of or sick leave. The “manager” was giving me 5 days of PTO to be “nice”. I have a series 7 and 63. Been licensed since 2000. Work 6 hours a day, which, btw, is only one hour less than the firm is open. Am I being swindled??
