Cry. But no really you probably draft/review the contracts for funds PE firms are injecting into emerging businesses and maybe help the business handle potential breaches of these agreements

A large PE firm has any any other legal issues that any business/company has… Bain as an example surely has over 1000 employees. They have the same general issues as any business would - and then of course specialty issues.

I have joined Sunlife yesterday. I was having offer from Capgemini as well but decided to join Sunlife.

I am settled in Bangalore and cannot relocate to Gurgaon. Sunlife HR provided me remote work option.

Now I am not sure that was fair decision for me or not.

CTC was almost same.

Need your comments.

Thank you!

Additional Posts in In-House Counsel

I am interviewing for a few in house roles, coming from another in house role. I have good credentials and experience, but the company I’m currently at has had a bad couple of years and doesn’t have the best reputation in the marketplace right now. Will I be judged by this in interviews? And what is the best way to acknowledge the company’s obvious less-than-stellar reputation without it seeming like all Im trying to do is jump ship?

I’m only a few weeks into the in-house world and I have to say that it kicks ass. I get to spend real time learning about how our business works without worrying about billable hours. I’m sure I’ll become more jaded as I go on (as lawyers do) but I want to take a moment to appreciate it.

I’d appreciate if anyone has any tips for an upcoming in house litigation interview. What are some good questions that are important to ask? For litigators who were at firms, why did you go in-house and what was the most challenging aspect of going in house? Thank you!

Have had a lack of interest now for a couple months. Just generally not interested in anything going on at work. Part of it is some new initiatives and new leadership - and I am just not drinking the kool aid. It is hard only having one client sometimes. There’s no escape. Does anyone else who came from a busy private practice with dozens of clients ever feel burnt out from dealing with the same people day in and day out? The same people are always making trouble. It’s just getting old.

2nd year: The CEO retires, and the new one decides to put me under the CFO in the organigram. Now I'm back to square one bc this guy cuts me off any relevant issue!
