Hi fishes,
got the offer from BNY Mellon | Pershing BNY Mellon Corporation Pune, India.
The offer letter mentions only fixed pay. HR told me that PF (employer), gratuity, and bonus (8%) are over and above fixed pay. But there is no mention of a bonus anywhere on offer. is this correct or am I getting tricked by HR? Help from current and ex BNYs is much appreciated.
How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

4th year associate at a regional Cozen office in Commercial Lit. The culture is amazing. Truly feel as though I've hit the jackpot. I am a hard worker but not a crazy biller. I have no problem meeting billable requirements while maintaining my family life. I feel close to my colleagues. I agree witht the comments below that it is worth being paid under market - they still take care of you, and you get to keep your mental wellbeing!
Which group?
Associate at Cozen in the Philadelphia office. Really like the work culture here. Most partners are willing to mentor and aren’t hardass as who talk down to associates. I’ve been encouraged to take vacations, and I’ve been respected when telling partners/my supervisor that I’m at capacity with work. Billing requirements are about 1850 per year. We have lots of fun firm events like happy hours, baseball team, etc. Also, my experience with associates is that they’re all generally helpful and collegiate with younger associates and their colleagues. It doesn’t feel like a cutthroat environment between associates.
Market in Philly is $215,000 though so we are slightly under.
