Can anyone give insight to what the day to day looks like for a workforce analyst and what skills would make them successful?

(Backstory) I was interviewing for an HR Business Analyst role with a company, I didn’t get the job but they referred me to a “Strategic Workforce planning Analyst” role they have open bc it would be a better fit. I’m an HR Analyst and have been working with HR metrics for a few years, but I’m not entirely sure what that transition would look like.

Why is it that we never have money for the PM team?

PMM went to Napa for a week. Sales celebrates all the time and just finished a week in Cabo.

But we don't have budget for the PM team to even do a team Escape Game event? Really? Or a paid training? Or a virtual conference ticket? Or literally anything? No desk stipend, no perks, no food, no team events, no happy hours. Not even a box of cookies this whole pandemic?

So I've been working at my current job for about 2 years as the Director of a museum in Pueblo,Co. Hey I’m wondering what Business Development Representative salaries at Google Cloud in Dublin are like — and how much do you think I can negotiate for a low level role. Dublin looks super expensive yet salaries seem a good amount lower than those in London. I’m considering it alongside AWS, Cloudflare, and other offers. I got burned in the aftermath of the FTX Cryptocurrency bankruptcy. I know it was stupid of me to invest in something I know very little about, but all I can do is avoid riskier investments in the future. As of now, I lost $40k.

Now, I'm unmotivated to save though. I feel like all my hard work over the years was for nothing. Did anyone have a similar loss in the past, and felt unmotivated afterwards? If so, did you ever recover?

I took a JR Pm role due to lack of agency experience but I find that the other PMs aren’t doing anything that I’m not & due to lack of leadership, resourcing & foresight I have had to step up and own rooms with no mentorship/guidance. I feel like I was duped and brought in on a jr role w/regular PM asks &no aupport. I was approached by another agency for an associate Pm position. I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

What would you do if you found out an executive was speaking poorly about you and your work performance to other employees? Is this a case where you would get HR involved? Have a conversation with the individual? Let it go? The comments are confirmed to have happened at an event that the offended party was planning/running, and the exec said negative comments to two other people at the company about the event and their work, and also said the person looked “too stressed.”

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

Feeling confused-6 months ago, I was asked to help out with one of the HRBP teams b/c they were short staffed. Resulting in me working as an HR analyst(original role) and an HRBP. Now I got married and moved to UK , plus we have got a baby in 2019 so now I am looking for a job in UK having 3 years of career break. Although, I am getting CIPD lvl 7 diploma this year. I am not ready for team leader's role now . So my question is about HR area, where could I find a job with my only Russian experience? HR generalist, C&B analyst, HR BP, recruiter?

I just started at my company as an HR Manager, I report to the Dir. Of Operations. I have my first investigation and it appears that a Manager that also reports to the Dir. Of Ops will be the subject of the investigation. I want to confirm that the Dir. Of Ops should not be included in this investigation at all until my investigation is complete and an outcome is determined, correct?
