I would say more than anything, go wide! Focus on a few strategic ones, but think outside of the box with where you search. And have multiple resumes/tailor to each job application. You do not need put ALL your work experience on each.

Hi Fishes, I hope y'all are well, I am looking for a referral in JP Morgan. Please let me know if anyone can help. It would be so appreciated😊.

Got an offer for a L7 role at Goog, tc is 800 annual ( base, stocks, and bonuses). Torn between taking the role and joining Google or staying at the Firm and making partner this year or next at the latest. I feel it is crazy to walk away from such money and can’t justify the grind for 2 more years before making similar income.

Would you rather make $120k a year while working 40 hours a week or $350K while working 70 hours a week. Please do not say it depends. Answer strictly on those two variables.

Looking for my next opportunity with the right organization! I have 5 years of experience in startups and a passion for the employee experience. My current role as a consultant has honed me in becoming a ‘swiss army knife’. I understand HR’s role as a business partner and how our work can impact the bottom line. I’m a motivated candidate that leads with entrepreneurial spirit and integrity. Do you have a role in mind? Let’s connect! Based out of Boston, remote work preferred.

Has anyone interviewed for an operations manager position with Uber? If so how’d it go?

Frustrated by EOY evaluations and lack of transparency from my manager. I was told when I started a new role in September that my metrics from these first months would not play a role in my raise. When following up with my manager about why my raise was 20k less than my colleague they told me it was completely based on my metrics when I know it’s based on having started in a different department. My metrics are the same as theirs and I do more above & beyond work. Do I stay?

Someone with IT audit experience trying to break into digital strat/customer experience field.. any advice on the switch? What are specific skills (coding)/ interests expected? Any job opening for SFDC for Pune location

Today, I got a call from Delloite India and HR says that she can only give 30% even though I have mentioned the current offer with 70% hike on my current CTC. HR instinct is that I should be ok with lower CTC part since the offer is from Delloite. Obviously I am interested to work for Big4 but does it really worth it? Would like to know your take on this? The position is for Data Engineer role.

Any advice for someone looking to make the move from account management to a copywriter role? Best resources/methods to help build my book?

Is 75K a good salary offer for a junior copywriter role at an in-house agency in LA ?

Hi Everyone, It seems everyone is successful here expect me😔. I have failed in 10th interview today after salary discussion I got rejection mail 🥺🥺. I don't know how to overcome this . I have overall 9yoe in Angular, JavaScript, Azure data factory and databricks. Give me luck 🥺🥺🥺😔.

Is moving to management track better that being an IC as specialist role? I have currently 2 offers with slight difference in package whereby ic role is fetching more price since I am using my 1st offer to counter. But 1st offer being a management track, I am more inclined to it. Any suggestions. Current xp is 10 years as BA and keenly looking for onshore role too. Not sure if going in management track, I can still travel onsite.

What benefits does JP Morgan offers for AVP role? In specific to GFCC groups..

I was thrilled to be invited to a conference with my company. Unfortunately, it has ended up being a defeating experience. I am the only female and I became the PM/admin now Booth person. I have not been able to enjoy the conference experience that took me months of panning for our team. I’m tired of not having a seat at the table of men in tech/supply chain. I have more network and experience in this space than a majority of the team but it has been clear my role here doesn’t align with it

Given the increasing demand for tech hiring, in-house tech recruiters (US based) -- what do you think the compensation range should be for someone 6-8 years of experience? as well as 4-6?

Hi - AMEX sign up bonus is higher than ever. DM me if you would like a referral link, I’ll split my bonus with you as well :)

Anyone in a innovation / accelerator group in a bank. Looking to pivot into a role with more of entrepreneurial feel to it and would like to learn more.

For any of you who have gone in house, how did you find the role? Has anyone moved with about 2 years experience? The billable hour model doesn’t work for me, but I enjoy legal work and think I would thrive in a setting with different metrics for performance.

Considering leaving FDD for competitor. Have heard so many things on better culture at mid-tier firms (think RSM BDO) vs. another big 4. Can anybody weigh in? All I know is KPMG FDD culture is definitely not for me.

I don’t get it. Prospective applicant here. Why does leadership actively read these forums and expend significant time to monitor their external reputation instead of just making an attempt to address the issues that lead the same critique to re-appear again and again? It’s been consistently documented that happy teams means better talent, better performance, reduced attrition, and free reputation management. Those all culminate to significant saved time and more money in the long run.

I recently had an offer for 125k w a requirement to quit freelancing if I accept. I currently make 90k + about 30k in freelance YTD, so i said I would need closer to 140k to quit my freelance. They said no, we parted ways. 2 weeks later they are back w a 140k offer but won’t generate a new offer unless I verbally say I’m ready to sign an offer letter tomorrow. Am I nuts for saying no? Their original offer required a decision in 3 bizdays & I’m getting red flags with the way they are rushing me

It took me a decade, but I have finally realized that giving 100% constantly is for suckers. There are zero rewards to being the person who does everything perfectly. Coasters aren’t lazy, they’re smart. 🌴 Have a great Friday!
