I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Which firms/companies have handled the pandemic well?
Edit: KPMG has handled ok in my opinion, I just wished they didn’t leave the layoffs on the table for months. Should have just done it already.
I think CohnReznick has handled it well. We get Juneteenth off now, get checkins on firm financials, an extra day of pro for ldw, got back pay for the pay cut and will be receiving raises/bonuses in fall. Haha I would have to check back in after we receive raises/bonuses though
You clearly don’t work in tax
No they need to donate 50% of all of our salary's to BLM. Only then would be i be so proud of my firm.

There aren't enough hours in the day to complete my workload. Due to my promo raise cap im underpaid by 25% as compared to listings im seeing on the open market.
There is tons of dead weight in my office twiddling their thumbs while partners grind the rest of us into the dirt.
This firm can pound sand. Im beyond done. Just hoping to get some offers in the door and jump to local/regionals and get some work life balance and market pay.
I’m proud to work at PwC because their plans for office reopenings actually show that they care about our safety. (Contrast that to one client of mine who required everyone back in the office in July, no excuses unless you had a doctor’s note. And this is in TX where cases and hospitalizations were on the rise then.)
Not at all
Yup
I’m very proud to work at PwC
EY did well for a little bit. Gone downhill in a hurry recently.
Rising Star
I’m very proud with the way EY has handled things. They’ve put people first, paused performance based separations for months, and committed to no layoffs. We don’t get raises or bonuses but personally I’m ok with that. I can see why others wouldn’t be though.

Yeah they did lol. This guy is drowning in kool-aid.
I mean I am! No joke - i truly am proud and happy to work for PwC. (No not partner track, no not drinking the cool aid)
PwC has done the best with what they’ve had in front of them. I respect our treatment of people and focus on the business.
Top 100, exB4 [never changed my header b/c duh, juicy KPMG bowl]. I always thought semi-poorly of my current firm, but they were transparent even if things were uncertain, didn't dock my pay, didn't RIF, didn't work me to death for no reason and just gave me a reasonable raise for a non-promo year. After hearing about PPP app graveyard shift, paycuts, RIFs, GE loss and cont'd fallout from PCAOB incident, Deloitte UK breakup, EY/wirecard and softbank, I'm glad I left B4.
Another vote for PwC- easy to hate, but keeping as many people employed as possible today and keeping the future promising tmrw.
Voting for PwC as well. Cutting bonus and benefits definitely isn’t ideal for the employees, but we are already doing a lot better than some of the other firms I’ve seen in this pandemic.
*knocks on wood* Proud to still be at BT. The hours have been tough but our partners made sacrifices so that we could get raises. Also handled WFH well and trust leadership 🤷🏻♀️
I’m not sure if they could have done better. I had low expectations so that may help. Allowing people to WFH long term is very meaningful and not reopening the office/reopening in a gradual way. I have multiple high risk people in my immediate family and have had to juggle extreme childcare disruption that would have made trying to return to the office next to impossible.
The high level of PIPs at PwC was pretty lousy and clearly a soft lay off. Calling it something else was pretty lame.
If you were in charge, how would you handle this pandemic?
PwC2- I’m referring to firm leadership, not the nation.
I am. At a local firm though.

I’m pretty happy with how my firm handled things. They’re giving us another $200 to spend on work from home office stuff. (It used to be $100). PwC Canada
PWC is overworking us until we are bare skin and bones. I’ve worked past 8pm every single night since pretty much May. And have worked all weekends in the last 2 months. I’m taking vacation next week and think I’m going to have to push it. It’s actually unreal how bad it is.
Different brand; same shit.
