2nd Interview for Sr TPM (AMZN L6) role — flow was too easy (recruiter was more intense!). My interview was led by a direct report to the hiring manager I was scheduled to meet with. There was no explanation or heads up of the change. I talked to recruiter just now and won’t be moving forward. I can’t help but feel that the decision had already been made by the hiring manager not to proceed. I definitely appreciate the practice but it definitely has a sting to it.

This might be an odd question - but here it goes. My name consists of two syllables but a lot of people had trouble pronouncing both when I was in school. So I started to go by just the first syllable. But it started to feel kind of weird since that's not my given name.

I'm about to join a consulting company and wondering whether I should still just go by the first syllable, ask people to pronounce my full first name, or come up with an English nickname - any thoughts?
