Can anyone in PA provide an idea of what they pay for their family medical insurance plans? I have a family of 5 and I think our monthly premium is crazy. Trying to get an idea of something like this:

That is crazy high. My monthly premium is $160 for a family plan, high deductible plan. Max out of pocket is $5k/person, $10k/whole family. Deductible is $3k/person, $6k family.

This firm has high end plans available - best is $650/month for the family, but max out of pocket is like $2,500 for the family, 1k deductible.

I work for a small (yet quickly scaling) tech startup that is fully remote regardless of Covid. Outside of healthcare and vacation, what benefits do others in similar companies have? Or even better, what do you expect? We are going to be hiring a lot of people while watching our dollars (limited investment dollars available) but need to make sure we are competitive. Do you have things like matching 401ks, office allowance, phone/internet stipend, etc.

Hi! Just got offered a remote job with a startup for $75k base + 2k stock options, and benefits (100% covered insurance, wellness, 401(K) (no match 🥲) and tons more, BUT I enjoy the company I’m at and the people. The company I’m at wants me to move to either NYC or SF. I would taking almost a 11% pay cut but at least I wouldn’t pay rent or get taxed NYC/CA tax since I’d be in Florida! Would you take a pay cut for a remote job with more take home money after taxes?

16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.

I know everyone is different, how long did it take you to fall pregnant with your first? We have just started trying but I’m already stressed at the possibility of hiding a pregnancy at friends and family gatherings, taking an international trip in April, and the ‘perfect’ time to be pregnant/due (I know there’s no perfect time!). I feel like a crazy person!

The interview happened last month first week and documentation process also completed. They have given a verbal offer, but no offer letter as there are still doing some audit and compliance on the earlier employments. They have yet not reverted. What should be done in this scenario. Is this a normal thing in Accenture where they take an inconsiderable amount of time for small things too

Has anyone gone so far as to splurge on a tier 1 office chair like the Steelcase Gesture? If so, your honest feedback/review would be appreciated.

My logic is if I spend so much of my typical work week sitting on a chair, why not go the extra mile and make it something comfortable and good for posture. Also, the cheaper chairs seem always to wear down faster than anticipated.

I am very content with my current employer, but hubby thinks I need to bring this to HR. I don’t want to rock the boat, and I figured I should wait until next year and factor that into my annual raise. Thoughts?
