Can anyone opine on NY 529 plans? Have one kid and debating if it is beneficial. No need to attend a NY school. I believe 529 funds can be used at schools outside the US if that school is eligible for federal financial aid

NY 529 plan is rated very high in terms of costs and flexibility. Personally, I still contribute to the NY plan for my kids even though we moved to Texas. Concur with EY1

I’ve never lived in NY but have their 529 plans for all three of my kids because the Vanguard options and management were attractive to me. I’ve been happy with it - well-run, not much administrative hassle. About to take our first disbursement this week, actually!

Are there any repercussions if I move out of US in a few years, specifically w.r.t. the tax benefits you get in NY by investing in their 529?

Hired a new nanny and currently on day 2. I am still on maternity leave so helping toddler transition and baby. She seems nice but tardy and my toddler is a rocket. My husband made breakfast for me she came and ate it. She helped the toddler nap and now sleeping lying next to him 🤦‍♀️. Baby cried and she put him in car seat and tried to rock him along with car seat . She was so nice during the trial (sweeet) but I am confused now on what did I sign up for ! Can I get some tips please ?

I’m frustrated that I’m always expected to do everything for our LO since I’m working from home. Five days a week, I do all the drop offs and pickups. When the baby is napping, I prep all her bottles and solids to pack with for daycare. Today, on top of everything else I had to take our dog to the vet. My husband hasn’t even offered to do anything because it’s easier for me to do it.

Currently contributing 18% to savings (8% 401k and 10% to savings account) and also paying $2250/month for grad school. I have a healthy savings balance and am not expecting and need to use it anytime soon. Is is ok to cut back on what I put into my savings account while I’m in school? Feeling stretched thin and have always had the impression it’s bad to not be contributing to savings regularly. Thinking if I’m paying for school it’s ok to be less aggressive with savings. Looking for input.
