What’s the top/most recent books you’ve read on growth hacking and scaling an early stage startup?
I recently left public accounting to join a start up. I don’t have too many connections in this world yet, does anyone have recommendations for either articles, books or other sources of information I could use to get an understanding of the startup world and how I can make the right career choices moving forward. - *I’m on the product manager side* Thanks in advance!
I’m looking for some new things to read or listen to — doesn’t need to be ad-related. Books, podcasts, whaddya got? I’m not really into fiction, but open to anything. Last books I enjoyed were Junior and Moonwalking with Einstein, last podcast I binged was Startup (Gimlet).
Anyone else a bit of a sucker for start up books? What's your favourites? Mine (so far!) are The Lean Startup, The Art of the Start 2.0, and Start with Why.
I may need a freelance senior (ish) AD to partner with for the month of January, in house at a start up. Post your books!

I'm looking to pivot from consulting into tech. I've gotten lots of interesting from tech companies on the ops side but am much more interested in product management. Any advice on books or courses to help make the transition? I'm struggling to land PM interviews at companies that aren't tiny startups :(
Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
Strategy folks - how do you get good at … strategy? Recently started at a startup in a role where I’m the only person under the head of our product team who handles the strategy-focus of the company. He wants me to take more ownership from him and I want to crush it but have no relevant experience here and am still fairly junior. Any books or classes? Or is it just trial by fire.
How to ask a startup to share their books with you. Being courted for Manager of S&O role, but don't want to be walking into a sinking ship.
I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong. How do I let the client know that I would be interested in joining them? They’re not actively recruiting for any position but I know they’d benefit from it. Serious responses only :)
Does anyone have recommendations for thought leaders/influencers in the M&A space? Looking for blogs, books, YouTube videos? Not currently in the space, trying to learn more as I’m thinking about a pivot after a few years in consulting/startups
Can anyone recommend good books or articles on startup org charts and hiring? Think we’ve hit early signs of product/market fit, but not sure who to hire next, in what order, and how the org should evolve over next few years.
Best books about product management for a good exit to industry? I already have an MBA and PMP but looking for a refreshed perspective since it’s been years since my formal education. Currently reading “Product Managements Sacred Seven” but it’s geared toward the startup world. I am in healthcare and not looking for a startup role. TIA!!!
As a new product manager what books should I be reading? I’ve already read Inspired but looking or more. For context, I’ve joined a series A start up and as expected there’s a lot to do and it’s very fluid. I want to be able to help the head of product as much as possible as well as provide some structure to how we work.
I am an aspiring entrepreneur and want to start a business in future for sure. I have a few ideas but nothing concrete, or close to being a start up yet. I work in tech, but a generalist - have done sales, delivery operations etc. trying to get experience in as many areas as possible before I go on my own. I dnt know where to start the journey. Are their any books or other material I can read/reference to think and plan about my entrepreneurship journey. I m in mid 40s based in t2 city US east.
Hi, i will be joining a startup soon to work as a product manager. What are some good books/materials/courses I can read in the meantime to prepare myself better for the job?

What’s the reason why equity partners (Big 4) can invest more than $19.5k into their 401k?
Anyone know compensation for an alt track employment counsel position at Seyfarth? This position would be remote and flexible re:hours. Sounds really nice to bill less but also would love to know what kind of pay cut this would entail.
So umm whose’s going to tell him? Also not surprised over half the people in this pic have caught COVID.
Got offered a financial analyst position with better pay and better work life balance but it’s in the retail industry. Should I take it? With the volatility of retail and all.

Have an approved 140 from previous employers, current employer filed the PERM which went into Audit. While I understand that about 20-25% of the PERM applications are subject to random audit, wondering if it impacts anything? Visa stamping (from home country) or extension, in particular?

I’m a currently going through a first-time pregnancy while single and working full-time for a boutique IBank. Between the challenges of the pregnancy (and the persistent morning sickness well into 2nd trimester) and the demands of my in-person job, I’ve got my hands full. Looking for support, encouragement and wisdom from my fellow moms. Thanks in advance for giving this community a try.
5.5 months pregnant. I’ve been having some insanely vivid dreams about breastfeeding my future baby. Weird

EY recruiter wouldn’t give me a solid figure for intl tax manager sign-on bonus. Do you typically have to go through the whole interview process before you get a number?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
