I am currently working at a T2 strategy firm in London and my partner and I want to relocate in ~1.5 years. My firm does not have an office in Dubai whilst my partners firm does. Hi Fishes, I am working as an IC in QA role with more than 15 years of experience, not getting good hikes and currently having 27.20 lakh INR, which I think its too low as per my experience range. Anyone ever face this question in an interview - "Rate your skills on a scale of 1-10"- which was immediately followed by the interviewer firing off a bunch of different software programs and tasks. I waffled pretty hard and said 5 for most things. They probably ran down a list of 20 different items - the numbers felt completely meaningless by the end of it.

Took an offer from a Plaintiffs PI firm. Leaving Insurance Defense. No more billables. More money. I dont think its any longer the case in todays hot legal market that you make more money on the defense side unless you sell your soul to big law. Point is, anyone that is thinking of making a move, do it now. It may not always be this red hot. (Remember 2009-2013 legal market). Hoping that the grass is greener on the other side.😉
