Laid back but not too great pay Essentially you have consultants doing the work for you, just attend meetings to look like you’re working

I just joined and I 100% agree

9-4, you can wear shorts to work, main workforce is in San Antonio so not a competitive landscape. Pseudo military/conservative culture.

They have excellent customer service, so I’m inclined to say their people are happy? Lol

Giving notice soon for in-house role, and thinking about giving more than 2 weeks. Is this dumb? I'm getting ramped up on work on very small teams, and things are being planned in advance for clients with my schedule in mind, but I know I won't be here for that. The split will be an amicable one, and I have no reason to think they would fire me on the spot (big "culture" emphasis here), although of course that's a concern. Anyone navigated this before and have any insight?

Hey Mates I'm working in pretty good fintech firm. I'm in my 30s with 2 kids and they are calling everyone to office by January I want remote job and would never want to live in any city again. Wondering which route to opt? 1. Start investing in open source and build a profile, find freelance jobs on upwork/Fiverr Or 2. Start giving interviews in remote jobs. FYI I'm terrible at interviews and spoken communications. Please provide your inputs. I want to work remote with good pay.

Family law associate. I run a docket of about 40-50 cases and work about 50 hours a week. I currently make about 125K (self-employed, no benefits). Between jury trials for CPS termination cases and the highly adversarial nature of family law, I find this job to be incredibly draining, as I have horrid work/life balance and struggle with constant anxiety. I recently got an offer with a personal injury firm. 110K, full benefits, for a non-litigation/docket manager role. Thoughts?

How much further can I negotiate? 8.5 yoe - 5 years pre MBA, 3.5 years post MBA at MBB.
