Can anyone provide thoughts about Facebook’s culture (career progression opportunities, development opportunities, WLB, etc.)? Are the attorneys generally collaborative and supportive? And any idea where lead product counsel is on the hierarchy? Thanks!

Would not work at FB in light of recent news. Sad that they don't have an answer related to the obvious lapses in oversight that have been recently exposed. Would be sure to CYA yourself and your career if you choose to go there.

The most junior position at FB in legal is Counsel, requiring at least ~3 years experience. Lead Counsel is one step up, requiring ~5-6 years. Next is Associate General Counsel, requiring ~ 8 years. Next is Director & Associate General Counsel, etc.

The reputation I have heard, passed through the grapevine about people I used to work with who’ve gone there, is that it is extremely intense and full of workaholics with no real WLB.

I have strong personal feelings that would prevent me from working for them. With that said, I think the legal opportunities there will pay well and come with great benefits. It’ll also be great experience to have on your resume for the future.

I’m currently finishing up a cybersecurity Master’s degree, have an LLM in Intellectual Property, licensed in nine states, and I’m published in the field. Hi everyone! Recently got reached out to interview for a GP stakes analyst position. I find the space rather interesting, but am weary of the exit ops. I would want to go back to B-School in the next year/2 years and eventually transition to traditional PE. IMO the GP stakes position would be a good starting point into understanding investment trends among PE funds, as well as a better understanding the workings of the different departments of the LP (for a potential return). Thoughts?

They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.
