Posting for anyone who may be just “looking at this page” or “sick and tired of being sick and tired”. I found a life through sobriety. It may not be perfect but I no longer HAVE to drink. I never thought it was possible. I wanted to state here that it is. It gets easier as time goes but if you’re fed up know that for many years I HAD to drink. Changing from Vacation and Sick Time to just plain PTO starting in Jan. Staff can save up to 40hrs of their accrued Sick Time banks to use in 2022 in addition to their new PTO.

We have a part-time employee with more than 40 sick hours who will try to use as much of their Sick Time as they can before Jan 1. If this person has an avg weekly schedule of 17.5 hrs, can we stop them using sick time if their sick + work time will take them over their 17.5 scheduled hours?

My company is transitioning from wfh back to the office, but everyone returning to the office is supposed to be vaccinated. I told my boss I would NOT be getting the vaccine and he said I wouldn’t have a desk in the office until I did. So I told him I would continue to wfh. Anyone used Botox to treat TMJ/teeth-grinding? My dentist said i should get a mouth guard and potentially do some physical therapy. I seem to be doing a lot of clenching/teeth grinding in the night. I was googling other options and came across a suggestion for Botox. I already get Botox in my forehead for cosmetic purposes so I'm not worried about Botox generally, but unsure how common it is in the jaw for this medical purpose.

This is in regards with my resignation. I have resigned on 22nd March (LWD : 22 June ) on medical grounds. Since then, my hr has asked for my prescriptions and medical certificates to give me an early release.

But yesterday, She is stating that my lwd is revised to 18th April with a clause that since my release is on medical grounds I can't join any other orgs before 22june. If joined, there will be problem in background verification.

How do you deal with a coworker trying to push their work on you?

When I started at this company there wasn't much work assigned to me so the office manager/accountant (small company) would have me help her with this major excel document daily. It's very time consuming and requires use of a database-- in short. But can usually be finished by noon if done properly.

About a month after I was hired my boss found out she was giving me work. Which I was unaware he didn't know about, and reprimanded her for it. My workload has increased tremendously after my first month and she was still having me help her with the documents.

I just overheard her step into our bosses office saying that her workload is too much and that she needs help (most likely mine since I'm the only other employee trained to do so. My workload has become pretty insane most days, I don't have room in my schedule to provide her with help but I'm worried my boss will ask me to help to appease her.

My boss rarely comes into the office, and on the days he's out this coworker watches soap operas and takes loud personal calls for the entirely of the day.

How do I approach this if my boss asks me to help her with this task? She clearly has enough time to work on them herself.
