In healthcare consulting and lots of emphasis placed on having clinical experience in this space. Worth it to go to med school, just to come back to consulting?
Differences among benefits across MBB?
Our office isn't mandating people to come in until next year. But I went in and ended up staying until 11pm. Can I request reimbursement for a ride back home? Not sure if I can because the firm hasn't told us we must come in...
New hire- I’m making my employer 401k match, and have money sitting around. Can I put a lump sum into a Roth IRA or something before the year ends?
My current package is 5.5 LPA , 2 YoE. I have received offer of 7.5 LPA fixed + 1.5 L VP from Accenture. Should I accept the offer? Also how is the variable pay rollout and other benefits at accenture.
What are the actual benefits of marriage?

Third trimester pregnant lady here -- last flight before maternity leave! Jumping for joy 🌟
How much more should someone ask for if a competing firm has less pto (7 days), less 401k match...401k doesnt kick in until 1st yr is over. Initially asked for 140k.
Why does the 401k match in consulting suck so much as compared to corporate? What are some ways to make up for it other than just asking for higher base pay?
Anyone know what the benefits are like at DDBNY?
My wife doesn’t invest her money in stocks, mutual funds , CDs. She just has a 401k and all her savings go into a savings account which basically yields nothing. I coax her into investing and have often told her about inflation over the years and lower of compounding but she is too scared that investing would take her money away. You guys have similar issues and how have you dealt with it ?
Just realized, I didn’t max out my 401k this year. Any way I can still contribute and count towards 2018 cap?
Help! Just learned that my parents (54 and 56) only have ~100k in their retirement account. Their house is currently worth ~800k with ~450k left to pay on the mortgage. Their income is ~200k combined. They insist that they’ll have enough to retire on with social security and after selling the house. However, I have a hard time believing this since the max monthly social security payout is ~3k per person which doesn’t even get close to the 70-80% replacement ratio. How screwed are they really?
I left my former employer in Q4 2019 but didn’t rollover my Roth 401k prior to the crash, so I’ve left it there this whole time and it’s rebuilt nicely (not back to where it was, but closer)...cont
Having grown up in the lower middle class and not with much money family wise, I always thought one day when I made six figures I would have tons of money coming in, but lately I am discouraged with my “take home pay”. Combined my wife and I make about $275k, we max both our 401k accounts out and after all taxes, and other deductions we take home roughly $150k. Don’t get me wrong this is a great amount. I just always dreamed my take home would be more. Anyone else feel this way? We lose over 40%
Took a sabbatical to do fertility treatments. Got pregnant on my first cycle of treatment yay! Now wondering if I'm eligible for maternity leave since Ive been on sabbatical the first 3 Mos of year?
Do you include social security payments while planning for retirement? If so, how can I estimate the amount I'd receive per year?
How much money is enough? We fish come from a wide variety of backgrounds and have taken a multitude of career paths around the world. I’m curious to hear how high of an annual pretax income (cont’d)
Interviewed for a job once and had the CMO repeatedly ask me a confusingly stated question after I’d asked for clarity. Once i figured out what he was trying to say, i said (cont.)...

What would you value more when deciding between jobs (both non-PA) - a company w/ prestige or with work life balance & good benefits. Let’s say same salary and potential for growth. I’m ambitious but also totally burnt out and over public accounting.
Is it weird/rude to do work during a 2 hour hair appointment (instead of taking the PTO)?
What would be reasonable base for Manager (API/ Integration Consulting) with EY ? I am currently with another B4.
Ok. I have the sapphire reserve, but wondering do I get more with the spg in the hotel space. I also need a cash back card ... which one is the best 🐠's?
I started a new role in BizOps over the summer at a late stage FinTech startup making $150K base ($15K signing bonus) and stock options. I previously worked at a T2 consulting firm and went to a non-HYP Ivy for undergrad. Have 4 YOE (will be 5 at matriculation) I’m debating whether I should pursue an MBA. Long term goal is entrepreneurship / FinTech for developing economies. I don’t think I’d want to go back into consulting and I don’t think PE/VC is very feasible either. Any thoughts?
