Hi, look up CalChamber. They have trainings already for it and other resources that are helpful for navigating California Law.

Kantola trainings. They have different ones depending on states for each user

Navex - they have all harassment training needs covered by state.

We use ELI’s civil treatment series.

Navex is great

Let's do a salary thread for parental leave policies: Post your firm’s parental leave policy. Fishbowl will circulate the data once we've reached 25 responses, so make sure to share with your coworkers.

Would you go into the public sector (like teaching) or work at a nonprofit, if you made from 80k and up to 150k in salary over the course of your life? Why?

Can we talk about the “Rise & Grind” / “Hustle Culture” aspect that seems to be organically baked into our role as Producers. Of course, it is what it is to some degree- but I’ve realized, in order to do my job effectively, my rest & work-life balance is a MUST. How have you handled that? Or do you just power through?

I’d love to discuss best practices for leave management. Anyone have any tips on which systems to leverage (HRIS, etc.) and approval workflow that they’d like to share? 🙂

Breastfeeding on a zoom call. Yay or nay? Was awkward in the call today. With webcam on. No one said anything but can tell from the faces the bewilderment. 5 people call. 3 women and 2 men. Kept up to point and wrapped the call quickly. I am one of the males btw.

Hi all, was hoping if anyone was willing to refer my wife to their company? She received her bachelors in Education but is looking to make a switch into IT. She’s currently working to get her Sec+ and AWS CCP certifications. I will be more than happy to forward her resume over! Any assistance would be great! TIA!

Is it common for agencies/companies to require you to start at their base vacation days even if you have more at your current job? What’s been your experience negotiating more vacation?

I am working for a boutique consulting firm for over 5 years now. Have a M.Sc. and not planning on doing a MBA. How do I transition into Tech/ VC?

Former BIG4 India folks! Need your help! I worked in EY India but they are known by diff partnership name like SR Batliboi etc. when applying for GC, shall I need to write SR Batliboi or EY is fine?

Thoughts on paying job loss mortgage insurance? Currently don't have one, have owned property for a few years, but been thinking about it....

Has anyone given any thought to the possibility of keeping quarantined staff and students at school in a separate area and allow instruction to be monitored by said staff? I am not talking ones who are truly feeling ill but we have teachers who have had to ne home with allergy like symptoms...those teachers could monitor students who are also not feeling ill in an area a way from the nonquarantined student body...maybe other schools have students have students who work their hearts out not our

Is it worth speaking to HR if you keep getting passed up for promotion for the past year and a half (will be 2 in October) even if all your feedback is amazing and explicitly mentions from multiple ppl that you're ready for the promotion? (Assuming you can't leave due to other circumstances)

Does anyone know of any entry level account positions open in Chicago? I’m also looking to take informational interviews! I may have graduated but continuously ready to learn

Hello All, I am going to join Teradata soon . Anyone wants to share their experience ,please do share in the comments or DM me . I do not have contacts who work there so I am not able to know about the work culture overall. Your help is much appreciated!

Have a call on Friday with the CEO of an environmental entrepreneurship non-profit. It could lead to a professional opportunity and maybe even billable work I can refer to my firm down the line. I’m going in with an open mind but little concrete information on his entity and goals and ways I could get involved. What questions would you ask such a person?

What's the most elaborate vacation your partner has taken?
