Can anyone share any good questions to ask during the interview round to identify red flags around culture, management, growth etc.?

I love asking team leaders how they help their reports overcome burn out.

like

This is a great question, their response would show if they truly care for the health of their employees.

like

It is best to identify red flags then try asking scenarios. "How would you deal with a burned-out employee?"Or, does your company provide bonuses and extra compensation? For what matters?" It's easier when you've already identified the green flags you've been hoping for.

like

I usually try and identify the parameters of the work they're looking for. If it seems they're not being open about what kind of work there is, or if they start asking if you have a flexible schedule in a job that normally doesn't require it, I start making notes.

like

I like to ask what are some of the reasons employees have listed as leaving, where employees who have left have gone to. They rarely tell the whole truth, but if they start to get nervous when you ask it's usually a sign that you should run.

I just had two interviews for a job at Raytheon. The recruiter asked my salary expectation and I gave it. He then a said my expectations were too high. The weird part was that he straight up told me he was going to look up my salary (I’m an internal candidate) to give a a number that “actually makes sense”. Can he base my offer on my current pay for a completely different job? Seems sketchy. The job requires 8+ years experience and it supports all of the Americas … I asked for 75-85k

Just got offered a job for 80k and yearly profit bonuses about 6-7% of salary. My salary now is 65 with bonuses around 4%. The new job is with a small company but fairly similar to what I do now. I have two dilemmas. ONE is that I have 3 more interviews early next week with larger companies that might offer more benefits. Is it ok to tell the one company I need more time? And TWO is if I do get offered positions at these other companies. Should I take them because they are a bigger company?

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Wondering what y’all would do to help get management from a 1980 mentality onboard for hybrid schedules? My company has a lot of long-tenured leaders, which is great, but they are living in the past with the lack of flexibility, and we’re losing candidates for openings, as well as starting to have more employees quit because we’re required to be onsite, when a lot of our jobs could be hybrid.
