I knew two French guys in friends’ circle who both were married and were cheating on their wives, both were very nonchalant about it, one said because it was ‘a family tradition for many generations to have a wife and a mistress’. I’d run honestly. Cousin married French guy, was abusive and a cheater, she divorced him and is now very happy with another French guy.

I had my French boyfriend read these comments and he cracked up. He says it’s possible that the French cheat more often than others but that he’s shocked at these stories. Now I’m so curious and will have to ask his family what their experiences are too lol
Well, sounds like everyone was pretty surprised. They say they knew these things happened but that these anecdotes make it seem more common than they thought 🤷🏻♀️ Makes me feel even luckier that I got one of the good ones lol

I think the french just in general have very different (vs American) views of romance, marriage, and monogamy. Broadly speaking my French friends (all genders, mostly from University) were very laissez-faire about their partners seeing other people or if they saw other people especially when they were abroad. So be sure you're on the same page about that. It's not a mindset I can buy into
I have 2 French guys friends. Both married. Both cheating on their wives. Both have expressed an interest in sleeping with me. They’re good at flirting. One of them likes to play those mind games where he’s hot one day and then ignores you/ won’t respond for days. The other one is on dating apps. Personally, I wouldn’t date a French guy ( based on my sample size of 2). They’re just not people I can trust for long term relationships.

Have worked with a bunch, dated one. For many they are much like American guys in that it's a mixed bag. Since are great, some are ok, some are f-boys. What is a huge red flag 🚩 is if they come from the real upper crust. I've known some guys that were in the Dominique Strauss-Khan set, and they were cheaters/harassers/etc.
