Conduent HR is ghosting even after sending a salary break up. When I finally got hold of her she told me to send the counter offer through mail. She is not responding to my mails when I'm nearing lwd, very unprofessional behaviour from Conduent. They at least should have the basic decency to get back if rejected or on hold so I could pursue other opportunities. Why drag until lwd? Conduent Tata Consultancy Deloitte India Techie

I’ve been at BGB for 7+ months and I’ve not experienced anything remotely close to what’s being described here. I do not doubt those are/were realties for some, just not me.
It’s a place you can exhale, be supported and focus on your craft.
DM with any questions. I’m an open book!
One look at how many times HB has been listed in the best places to work should tell you about its culture. And, from someone who works there, it might be the best place I’ve ever worked (and I’ve been around). Oh, and the work is damn good too.
It’s a creative black hole... meaning nothing creative escapes its doors. As stated above, I’ve heard from many people that Medical runs the show. Remember, this is a Med Ed agency that’s trying to act like an ad agency. If you like high science and medical communications, could be a fit. If you want creative, it’s not the right fit.
I know people at bgb who worked at other big agencies before and they say many good things about it. They are in more sr roles if that means anything. Seems the sweatshop culture is maybe more from the past?
I’ve never heard anything good about BGB.
What are some of the bad things you’ve heard?
BGB is mostly med ed (just as a FYI) and very little work life balance—when I worked there. I worked there a couple years ago and had to work until midnight about once a week. And depending on deliverables sometimes it was multiple nights within a week.
I’ve heard that it was a big deal when someone lasted 2 years there. Also when I interviewed there, they stressed the work hard, play hard, and lowballed an hourly rate to see if I was a good “fit”. I did not try it out. 😀
They’ve pursued my multiple times and always ghost even after meeting several people. I’ve stopped letting recruiters submit me. . They pay well, and they need to. The medical directors are the creative directors. Most people last 6 months. It’s a sweatshop.
I freelanced at Heartbeat a few years ago, and I really liked it. There is also great creative and strategic leadership there (former H&Sers among them).
From what I gather - heartbeat seems to be more of a solid holding company owned agency(publicis ) Definitely pitfalls with holding companies but I know people who worked there for 5+years with no thought of leaving. Seems like everyone is pretty team orientated and enjoy each other ...you’ll have access to other network agencies for potentially future roles you’d like to explore.... BGB is private and from what I understand the partners make the decisions on all staff roles. If they like you awesome but that can turn to hatred and you’re gone. BGB also has a rep of sweatshop vibes — ive heard the work hard play hard line from a few folks who work there and that to me is a red flag.
Steer clear of BGB.
Why?
Oof thanks for the feedback, everyone. Will definitely keep it in mind.
