Can anyone share some intelligent pieces on why Trump will be a good president? As much as I just can't come to believe it, I'm sure smart people somewhere have valid reason to think this.

He will be a good president...for the ultra wealthy, white nationalists, police departments, defense contractors, and trump businesses.

For the white middle class in rust belt? Not so much.

I guess Bannon is a competent person if you are a white nationalist. He has a really good track record. Flynn was fired because he was a terrible boss. Jeff Sessions couldn't get hired for a federal judgeship but sure he can manage them. Pompeo believes in water boarding. Very competent, the lot.

He's treating it like a business, albeit a fairly peculiar one, and admittedly having not done a consistently great job of his own empire to date.

This means he's pushing a fairly rigid meritocracy and line of principles to be adhered to. His appointments do seem to be largely based upon competency (even if some of them do seem a trifle odd).

I suspect that he's actually more middle of the road politically than he wanted the southern states to believe during the campaign, and less of a buffoon than his posturing and tweet-diarrhea would suggest.

Surround yourself with smart people and you'll make smart decisions. Good mantra.

To answer your actual question I believe Peter Thiel has some good pieces on why he supported him and believes hell be a good president.

ACN1 is he surrounding himself with smart people though? Appointments so far are questionable.

1) the government isn't a business. Businesses are for profit organizations created to reap benefit for the people in the business, not to reap benefit for every potential person in the market they sell their product/service to.
2) "trifle odd" ...racists (sessions), white nationalists (bannon), and morons (ebell who denies global warming)
3) "surround himself with smart people" ... VP who dismantled environmental regulations in Indiana which is now the 6th most polluted state.

Have you seen the man's hair??? If he can achieve that, think what he'll achieve for our country!!!

ACN1- I would like to know your definition of "competent" in these cases. Also, why do you think it's the middle men who will run the show? Look at where we work- how many managers or SMs do you see going against partners? The scenarios are very similar, possibly even more rigid as these appointees all seem to be driven by their on agendas. I am not trying to sabotage you, honestly looking to understand.

Instead of denouncing the white nationalists that said "hail trump" he went after Alex Baldwin, Hamilton, and the New York Times. Are you surprised? He was the chief birther protagonist, a racist protest against obama.

Well - he may be failing a little in execution - but I think the intent is there. TBH - I am more interested in the deputies and under secretaries who'll feed the senior bods....

A2 - I know you're not. I'll write fuller later - heading into a meeting now.

Don't know about him being a good prez, but he shook the hell out of the election process and thwomped both inept parties in the process breaking every rule of campaigning along the way. Will have to endure 4 years, but I think it will be healthy for the process

I recently started my first post-college job as a software developer and have to make a decision pretty soon: front-end development or back-end development. I really like being closer to the user and the creativity as far as front-end. But I also reallly really enjoy math and logic and the more complex side to back-end. My dream would be to do full stack but thats not an option. Scared of getting pigeon holed. Any suggestions as to what to do / tips?

I'm 11kg overweight for my height with a BMI of around 28.5. I'm hiking, walking up various peaks and ensuring that I get my heart racing the past 3 days. In some muddy/slippery places, I put weight on my left leg to prevent a 60 ft drop, knee took a lot of impact. Pity that attempting to be more active also leads to injury.

What do you recommend, a diet using the calorie deficit method? Looking to go back to gym, hit the heavy bag & lift weights from Monday.
