Following. We're in the process of revamping our program as well and would love to see some ideas here.

At my previous job we did a quarter % of current salary times years of service. Wanted to see what others do.

Is the Strategy& health practice still hiring a lot? If so, is 100% remote still possible for new hires, or is that option phasing out? Would 60-70 hours a week be realistic, or more like 70-80+? Thanks!

Are there any registered pharmacy technicians here that transitioned to hospital pharmacy before obtaining their certification? I'm planning to schedule my test within the next couple months. I've been trying to leave retail and nothing seems to stick. I'm in Florida if that matters.

Anyone work in HR in the HF/PE space in NYC and can give me a sense of what their work life balance is like? My WLB has honestly been kind of terrible so I’m curious to hear if it’s the same for others in the same industry or if it’s just my firm in particular.

We made it to the weekend, HR fam! Or in my case, barely made it 😂😬. What are you doing to take care of yourself this weekend? We carry heavy burdens for our orgs, often without having a safe place to share our own burdens. I’m cheering all of you on as you make work better every day ❤️

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Hello all!

Changing from Vacation and Sick Time to just plain PTO starting in Jan. Staff can save up to 40hrs of their accrued Sick Time banks to use in 2022 in addition to their new PTO.

We have a part-time employee with more than 40 sick hours who will try to use as much of their Sick Time as they can before Jan 1. If this person has an avg weekly schedule of 17.5 hrs, can we stop them using sick time if their sick + work time will take them over their 17.5 scheduled hours?

Thanks!!

I have a masters in organization behavior, I love being in organizations that are growing and changing that’s why I chose to get my masters in organization behavior. I feel like in the HR world having a SHRMor a PHR is more impressive, marketable and would get me more compensation in the long run. I paid 25K for a Masters for what?however my employer has decided to provide some tuition reimbursement so I’m looking into getting a certification. What’s your opinion I’m

Is anyone else trying to find the balance between being for the company and for the employees?
I've been told I'm too much in favour of the employees when I'm defending the lower-paid employees, or talking about employee well-being, but somehow it's ok when the higher-ups go out of their way to give the higher-paid employees financial assistance, or to allow toxic managers to continue in their positions because their feelings shouldn't be hurt.
Be honest, fellow HR folx, am I too idealistic?

Hey all! Wondering if people have suggestions on LMSs (learning management systems) they love.

I work at a small (25 EE) fintech startup and all the departments are looking for software that would help streamline on boarding, have options for continued learning, and career succession planning. I’ve only worked with larger LMSs previously.

I know this is a subjective topic in certain ways, but I would love to hear your thoughts and why are you enjoy the system you work with.

Know someone earlier in their HR career that’s looking to get certified. It’s been a while since I originally took the exams and have just recertified since. Which is more valuable or preferred these days…PHR or SHRM-CP?
