Hi all,
I have two campus EY Deloitte on the table from Deloitte Tax (BTS), and EY Tax (DSG). Both are located in the SF Bay Area. Deloitte is paying 2k higher base and a 2k higher bonus.
I have to make my decision by the end of next week, so I’d appreciate some input and opinions on which offer I should take.

I started Lexapro about 6-8 weeks ago for anxiety and it has definitely curbed the panic attacks and awful heartburn I was getting with them. Only downside for me personally was that at least to start, it made me super tired—I would get home from work and immediately crash for a few hours.
Relatively speaking I’m still early on in taking it and it does take awhile to fully become effective and everyone’s different in terms of side effects and whatnot, but I highly recommend getting some medication to assist if you’re struggling like this.
Seek out a therapist to work with as well for the long term as well, and I hope you get to a better place ♥️
The acid reflux has been the AWFUL. I got prescribed a PPI yesterday but I know it’s from panic attacks and cannot wait to get those under control so the acid reflux attacks can stop too
I totally get you want to anticipate what it might be like for you, but just be careful about forming opinions ahead of time based on other people’s experiences. Everyone has such different responses to meds, so try to go in with an open mind and know that it might take some time to find the right medication and dose. But if you’re at a point where you can’t function daily, that’s a good reason to explore it with a psychiatrist and therapist. Good luck!
Lexapro worked wonders for me for 3 years before getting pregnant. After baby, I couldn’t go on it again (adverse reactions)
I’m on buspar now and it’s ok. It took a while to figure out dosage.
I’ve tried a lot of others. The biggest recommendation I have is like above - take your time and have an open mind with the process. Like anything, it takes trial and error to find the right fit. Tell your doctor about your reactions and make sure they will listen.
SSRIs are trial and error. One might work and another might make it worse. Definitely work with a doctor. Celexa made me so foggy. Prozac worked to curb my anxiety and depression. It got me out of a rut and I used it as tool to get my life back on track.
Think I need to give Prozac a 2nd chane
Never taken either of those but I take Buspar for chronic anxiety and it has been life changing. It takes a while to build up and be effective, but once it is you really regain control over your thoughts and emotions again. Warning that my Dr started me at like 3x the dose I ended up at - so just make sure to maybe ease into it and definitely don't try to drive anywhere the first day you take it (please please please take that last comment seriously - I thought I was fine since it had been several hours but like 4 hours after I took it I was not fit to drive despite already being in traffic. Thankfully had a passenger I was able to switch with but it was very bad)
Lexapro saved my life tbh. Similar to what someone else said, it was a bit rough dealing with the initial exhaustion/sleepiness. I also gained quite a bit of weight overall on the medication (some of it was also my appetite coming back too). But it was rly worth it for me. I was also seeing a therapist at the same time too.
Im not currently on any medications for the past year bc I’ve been able to manage fine with the coping skills I learned from therapy. Just letting you know what you won’t have to be on the medication forever (although it’s perfectly fine if you choose to stay on long-term). I used it for about 2 years, switched to a diff med for a year and a half, and then tapered all off together. Having access to a therapist during all of this made a big difference to.
Best of luck and I hope it works for you! Don’t be discouraged if it takes a while to figure out the right medication or dosage. But when you do, it’ll all be worth it.

Lexapro actually triggered panic attacks for me, felt like my brain was buzzing.
Have you had your thyroid checked? Hashis can cause panic attacks, also low b vitamin levels can trigger panic attacks. I’ve never taken Lexapro but my spouse liked it for a while until switching to Wellbutrin.
My daughter tried many different medications. Eventually she ran out of SSIs to try and found medical marijuana works for her. She uses a low dose.
Best of luck with your medical journey.
Have you tried CBD? I have friends who have weaned off their meds and been able to just take CBD instead.
