Can anyone share their experience working for an IT staffing company as a sales executive? Any particular pros and cons?

Used to work in IT staffing in the DC metro area for over two years. There are some long haulers who can do it but most end up quitting or burning out after a year or two. The ones that last have made their job a core part of their identity where I worked was a bit of a cult at the time where there was a lot of internal politics. Pros + done right- you build life long relationships where people trust in you and your ability to help them staff and build their business + you can make decent money in year 2 but in most cases- your first year is a GRIND with little to no success Con - Burnout and attrition are high - There are so many IT staffing firms ranging from the behemoth TEKsystems to the small mom and pop boutique shops so know who you’ll be competing against

Hi! Six months ago I started working on the sales side at an IT staffing company after being on the sales side for a healthcare staffing company for five years before. I can’t compare it to other IT sales roles, but here’s what I notice in IT vs healthcare staffing- -using staffing companies is much more accepted than it is in healthcare -market is more saturated -people you’re selling to are nicer -you have to be much more knowledgeable about the trade of people you’re placing in order to vet them well -I think that the money is better and lifestyle are better long term Staffing is staffing though and dealing with people as your product is never going to be a 9-5 job so I think being level headed and persistent is the biggest thing

Haven't spoken to my mother for 5 years. Started to talk to my dad about 3 years ago, but he wouldn't let her know we are talking for fear that she would freak out. My dad has some health issues.

Sunday scaries...want to hear how everyone gets ready for the grind on Mondays, especially with meetings that start at 8:00 am. I hate taking away from family time Sunday nights. I’m struggling with WLB, especially with the “always on” culture and constant client asks/deadlines.

I got a good offer from Accenture, with joining location as Kolkata, which also my hometown. My question: Is there a possibility that after joining in Kolkata, my base location may change to other major IT cities soon? What I mean to ask here is, are there enough clients and projects in Accenture Kolkata to work in? Or is there ample remote working opportunity in Accenture? Integrations architect, 10 years exp

Is the main advantage of applying to mba early simply to literally start making more sooner? Is it easier when you’re younger? I’m fortunately not in a rush to apply and I think next year my app will be stronger, my income is not gonna be much higher post mba, I’ll have another promotion, better recs, and less debt to take on. What am I missing?
