I work in a non bay area office and have had a good experience. Less weekend work than prior firm, no one has been rude. Have more experience on the ecvc side.

No screamers in my office. But I'm in a smaller one. Think PA could be diff just because there's so many people but I have no idea. I've heard good things about Austin

Most people bill like 2100. Mine are lower. Not alot of weekend work at all. Maybe diff if you're doing ipos idk

Getting much more mentorship and substantive work btw

I'm Corp btw

Highly recommend.

Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t be necessarily grow my network, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

Hi colleagues!

I'm an experienced HRBP who's looking for some career advancement advice. I'm currently studying for my SPHR and looking to take the leap to HR Director roles. While I'm a strong HRBP, I've yet to manage a team. And while I train managers on people leadership skills, I myself, haven't had a chance to flex those muscles. Those in HR leadership, should I apply for HR Director roles even though I haven't managed a team?

Has anyone cried in public? I’ll go first. Two years ago I found a lump in my neck and doctors sent me for all kinds of testing. Thank goodness it was benign (still required a risky and complicated 3 hour surgery to remove, which was medically necessary). Anyway, while waiting for results of multiple ultrasounds and MRIs, I was so terrified I cried all over the place including multiple times in the streets of NYC. Sometimes kind strangers offered sympathy, sometimes not.

I have an offer with a small firm I am highly interested in. $165k base + bonus for only 1800 billable hours, but it is 8+ hours from our families. $90k in student loan debt left. Am I wrong for wanting to take the money?
