My GPS fed consulting datapoints are several years out of date, but comp is solid for the federal space; not great, but solid. Take them with a grain of salt since it's been a while and much of my time at Deloitte has faded into obscurity, but these are the approximate salary ranges I remember:
BTA: $60-80k
C: $80-100k
SC: $85-135k
M: $110-165k
SM: $130-225k
MD: $300k+
P: $250k+
Culture is typical Deloitte, lots of type A people. I've been all around the Beltway and Deloitte is definitely populated with the most aggressive people in general.
Firm initiatives are A Thing, but the weight given to them varies by service line and leadership group. When I was there, leadership expected high quantity of FIs, not so much the quality. There were explicit high FI hour requirements at each level to get a 3 or higher rating at the time, but that had started to change by the time I left. It wasn't uncommon to have 40-45 hours of client work in a week, then have another ~10 hours of FI work on top of that. Yes, in the grand scheme of consulting (including commercial), that's not a ton of hours, but it does add up.
Utilization blows. The util target for each level is based on 2080 hours per year, then all holidays, PTO, training, and bench time counts against your util. If you're on a capped 40 hour project and can't get another charge code, especially if you have any bench time during the PY, have fun.
Fed projects run the full gamut from zero stress 40 hour staff aug to high stress 24/7 on-call projects. The preponderance of projects definitely lean more towards the 40 hour projects, but there are enough high burn projects to make them not out of the ordinary.

Also it’s not immediately obvious but in federal (at least at lower levels) you can network and pick your own project rather than get assigned one by a resource manager
Workload varies project to project. I’ve seen some dumpster fires in GPS with no WLB
D3 i do implementation work as well. find a new GPS project. Better ones exist, don’t sell yourself short

Lol agree with the above. “I don’t make as much as commercial so I’m logging off at 5” and “I don’t get paid enough to care” are two frequent things I say to myself.
Workload: low
Culture: okay
Comp: Good for federal, bad overall
Came in as an experienced C promo to M. I will not schedule a call. I doubt the salary will change. Instead I plan to take this year and complete two certs and then weigh my options. I hate job hopping and starting over.
