Thoughts on holidays… At Accenture US we now have 2 “culture days” which can be used like PTO. We get off Christmas, thanksgiving, etc. as normal holidays. Why couldn’t companies issue all holidays as “culture days” and allow employees to choose which days to use them on? Example: if their are 9 holidays (thanksgiving, x-mas, New Years, etc.) why not just make them “culture days” and allow people to choose when they use them?

I’m curious what the opinions are on the process they have seen or used to get promoted. I’ve never had it happen in my career this way but in my mind, your work speaks for itself, you advocate for yourself, ask for a promotion when it’s not been offered. Then you get promoted after you make your case if you do qualify. The way I’ve seen it (& a reason I’m leaving my current company) is where they only promote people when they’ve threatened to leave or received a different offer. Thoughts?
What’s the base pay range for a SC (lvl 3 after AC, C) with 3yoe at a boutique for business advisory in a west coast MCOL city? Really want to know whether I’m being lowballed on a promotion offer
I’m interviewing at outside companies during my performance review cycle. All signs point to a positive performance review so far and my manager has even brought up the very likely possibility of a promotion within the next six weeks. But I’m interviewing elsewhere as I’d like to open myself up to different opportunities due to the work culture and compensation in my current role. Will accepting a promotion and then potentially leaving weeks after hurt my resume and burn bridges? Any advice?
Giving notice soon for in-house role, and thinking about giving more than 2 weeks. Is this dumb? I'm getting ramped up on work on very small teams, and things are being planned in advance for clients with my schedule in mind, but I know I won't be here for that. The split will be an amicable one, and I have no reason to think they would fire me on the spot (big "culture" emphasis here), although of course that's a concern. Anyone navigated this before and have any insight?

About to hit 2 YOE from UG, currently working at a boutique on strategy projects. Tons of proposal work overload me and affect project performance, and each project is crammed and feels like being thrown into the deep end.. Is working at MBB even worse? Do you guys work on proposals while staffed on a project?
