I’ve been in Federal 4 years with active Secret. Imma caveat real quick and say, “this doesn’t apply to TS. If you have TS you WILL work in Intel.” Secret clear is a nice to have but I’ve always had very good autonomy in choosing roles. I’ve done a lot of roles outside of DoD. Some cleared project SMs and M get a little worked up when you leave but that’s par for the course.

Cont...work on projects that don't require a clearance? Can you turn down cleared projects that you're less interested in for uncleared ones that interest you more? Have you been able to roll off secure projects when they don't align with your career goals? How often are you stuck on long term projects that you hate just because you have the required clearance?

Agree with D2. A secret gives you just the right level of flexibility. TS and higher it’s a different story. Once you are identified you are expected to be staffed on a cleared project. We have a huge backlog of funded positions we can’t fill because we need more cleared people. OP would definitely negotiate with them if you are thinking of coming over.

Hmmm, that's what I was afraid of. So would you say being at Deloitte with a TS is kind of a dead end for your career then?

This question is for recruitment teams across Big 4 and other consulting companies.

Where does Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi stand in terms of your B school tier based ranking?
It might be possible that the institution might not in some of the companies' list, given the alumni network is very very low (less than 1000 alumni since inception). But still it has a fairly decent CAT cutoff of 98+ and good for finance

I would be happy to know. I am an MBA aspirant.

I feel desi consultants seek out desi consultants for staffing and treat them horribly - there’s rampant brown-nosing, complete disregard to work-life balance, rude and disrespectful conversations, jibes, etc. Meanwhile, they treat non-desi consultants with respect and propriety. I truly despise this behaviour and it typically only amplifies with pushback. How do you deal with such managers/leadership? Looking for suggestions. Thank you!

Hi everyone, I am looking to go for my masters degree, I have my bachelors in health services administration and economics and I am looking into dual degree programs. Hired cleaner recommended through the Neighborhood app. She came for the first couple of cleanings and did a great job. Subsequent cleanings, she sent other people and today, instead of two adults, the replacement cleaner brought her 13-year-old daughter. Am extremely uncomfortable, not just because of the bate and switch but more so because of child labor laws. I know these individuals can probably use the money, what is the right thing to do?

Seeking advice for moving from industry leadership role (dr of training) into HC consulting. 20+ years in TD (L&D, PC, OCM). Industry roles for last 5 years but spent most of my career in small consulting orgs.
CPTD but no degree (long story, about 15 cr shy). Would you suggest addl cert (CCMP, SHRM-C)? Will the lack of degree a no-go or is there a way in while I finish? A Sr director role is being dangled. Would the title bump help with the transition or do I risk missing a hot market?
