Hahahhaha at 24 I already had done 2 tours. Found out getting shot at sure as hell raises the blood pressure. Found out that life is not fair and definitely not about “how much I have made” at that point.
And if I had to go back, I will do it all again with one exception... the two brothers I lost over there, yeah they deserved this life much more than I do. I will give up my life for theirs in less than a heart beat. They are/were much better men than me. If I could, I will f&$@ing take their place without question.
So if you are alive and healthy, if you got a family that loves you, if you are doing ok... consider yourself lucky. Who gives a flying f&@$ what other people have or how you stack up. Enjoy what you have. Life is feeble my friend! Enjoy it and treasure it!

Salary: 125k
Bonus: 25k (20%)
TC: -130k (70k student loans, 60k truck 😁)
Im going for my Doctorate so I’m eating student loans rn while working full time. Graduate in the upcoming 2 years and plan on having the loans paid off no later than 27. Then only thing left is the truck, which I might refinance for lower interest rates if possible, but don’t plan on paying off early.
Goals are: Student loans -> Max 401k annual -> House if I live somewhere I want (thinking Texas or Northern states like Vermont/New Hampshire). There’s no such thing as “being behind”, just have a plan, set goals, and tackle things in ways that make you happy :)
I hate questions like these. Just enjoy life my guy, you can die at any time.

It’s Friday night, are you okay

I genuinely feel bad for OP.
Please call a friend or family member and talk about life outside of work.
Or go out and get dinner and drinks with friends and leave all the work stuff behind.
What you are doing isn’t healthy. For you. Or anybody on here.

My stats from 24: $40k, approximately -$55k
drop the salary and nw now my guy
you’re at deloitte. you’re not behind. there are baristas and teachers living in manhattan enjoying life
I am 24 yrs old, 73k salary, 7k in savings. Only posting to add a more realistic, honest answer. And I feel very behind after reading everyone else's comments. BUT - I have zero debt and put myself through college after becoming financially independent at 18 with no financial support from family. That was hard. But I did it and I am proud of myself.
Big props!!!

You’re insecure and that’s okay. You’ll be alright…

“24 and there’s so much more…” 🎶
(Hey, couldn’t resist.)
OP please stop running the rat race. Posts like this help no one
At 24, 62k salary, -70k net worth
At 27, 110k salary, 200k net worth
Honestly, live life a way that makes you feel happy and secure. The rest should flow naturally
Crypto. For sure
In come the trust-funders, crypto millionaires & meme-stock diamond handers to make you feel insecure
I'm not ragging on crypto millionaires. People that make winning investments like that have creative/independent brains and balls both of which are admirable imho.
I'm pointing out that whenever someone asks "am I where I should be in terms of salary/net worth/etc", the responses are almost always skewed towards the outliers giving a false impression to the poster that they are "behind" when they are actually doing great.
These posts are so toxic for everyone lol

Just turned 24 and already mature enough to not ask these questions!
Oh this is healthy
Also, you are “behind” emotionally if you have to ask this question. The people who are truly “ahead” in life are the ones who are happy with themselves, regardless of how much money they make relative to their peers
Yes and no. What happens usually after college is that people get a job and have fun for a few years. Then at 25/26 things wane down and reality hits them. They have to start plan things out and often they realize that while they’ve been partying , other guys have been grinding all those years. They call that quarter life crisis. It’s about setting the ground for the next phase of life, real adulthood.
25 next month. 91K TC, 130K NW.
I know I’m behind my college peer group as they started at 6 figs and I haven’t hit it yet, but I do like what I do for the most part.

Note that they have all moved to HCOL cities as well.
edit: graduating from here was incredibly humbling. try as hard as i could for 4 years, i was always below average. All you can really do is your personal best.
At 24, I had a net worth of probably $25k? Maybe $35k? TC $70k ish
Same
