What is the percentage salary increase you were given at your agency for a performance based promotion?
I have noticed that every time I was passed over for promotion a man with less overall work experience who lead less projects and who has less time at my company has been promoted instead. I was told I was imagining things and “it’s not really like that” +

So what happens to current Ms at the new tiering levels? Especially if they were gunning for a D promotion in the next 1-2 cycles? Do they jump up to SM2? Or just have an extra 2-2.5 years added to their cycle?

I have an awesome opportunity to apply for a promotion that would give me additional responsibilities but a faster track to leadership. I am also 10 weeks pregnant with my first confirmation appt next week. I want to go for it but feel bad about applying when I would go on mat leave in about 6-7 months, pending everything is on track with my first appt. Wanting advice on whether to apply or not and whether to disclose the pregnancy?

Reviews are coming up. Started in fall and have been kicking ass on my projects (yay!), keep getting paired with sr creatives and my boss has complimented me on it. Is it too soon to ask for a raise?
After talks with my regional marketing team (RMT), each of us feels that we deserve a raise and have been underpaid since we began. We are the most productive RMT, we drive global scaling with our work as examples, and train up our counterpart teams across the globe. All of this with half the team members of the other teams and within two years of our existence. Does anyone have guidance or advice on how to raise this type of issue, and how to seek a raise both individually and as a team?
Say that I get interviews to Wharton and Booth - what does the timeframe look like for interviews? Last year interview decisions were released mid October - do interviews usually take place 1-2 weeks after or later?
Hey all - It's that time of year again! Charles Aris just launched our compensation survey to gather the data that fuels our annual compensation studies. Would you be willing to take 5-minutes to contribute to the cause (plus we'll donate $10 to your choice of charity on your behalf too)? It’s 100% anonymous and only takes a few minutes to complete. Thank you in advance! survey.sogosurvey.com/r/MhmuhK
I got hired as a freelancer on a project. 2 days in and we’re off to a slow start getting access to what I need. It’s paid hourly. I blocked out time to work a full day knowing I’d dive right in but that’s not how it turned out. My question is do I bill the full day even though I only put in a few hours of kick off calls and contacting folks to get access to the things I need? It’s not my fault they were disorganized. What would you do?
Which is better if want to switch off to MBB: KPMG Strat v Accenture Management consulting?
Back again with a question for the McKinsey folks! 1. Is it true that if you are internal (specifically PD) you are not eligible for a performance bonus? Just base and the 401K profit sharing? 2. I know McKinsey offers a percentage of your salary into a retirement fund. The recruiter painted it as a range (from 7-12%), but other fish in the main consulting bowl said it’s either 7 OR 12% (no in between) based off of if you’re client facing or internal - which is true? Are partners in IBM like SM in big 4?
I applied to a job directly last Thursday but found the post on LinkedIn. At the time I applied, the posting was a couple days old. Today I noticed the employer reposted all of the current openings again this morning. Does anyone know if that means anything for my application?
Everyone talking about “re focusing on what matters”, or “putting things in perspective “... Inspired by nanny posts. I have a toddler and a 4 month old. My nanny basically holds the baby all time and toddler is almost entertaining himself. She reads a book here and there, puts snack out for him - that’s it. My toddler doesn’t do screen time but when I see in the nanny cam he looks sad and zoned out, doesn’t speak a word. He is an extremely active kid and runs around when we were there or with the sitter we had during summer ( I was on ML with the baby ). She has 20 Plus experience
