They exist but you'll get paid accordingly.
I work maybe 35hrs/week and make 90k in low CoL (Texas). It's boring work but I leave work at work and never give it a second thought on the weekends. I work from home every Friday and nobody tracks my time (including PTO). Idk if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, but it's definitely what I need right now. I work out 4-5 times a week and have 2 international trips booked already. I actually get to live the life outside the office I dreamed of.
Government
They do exist. Coming from industry. I quit because it is too boring.
God why do we have to work so many hours to make a decent salary now?? Fml, I give up
I leave between 5-6 each day. Get in at 9. It's not technically 40 hours a week (closer to 45-50), but the difference from PwC is ENORMOUS. I've lost weight, I sleep better, I don't dread going into work...I'm not clearing $100k, but my pay per hour increased quite a bit over Pdubs
I would even take a 9 to 9 in industry as long as I don't have to work weekends.
Federal contracting with a company that doesn't expect anything else like B4 does. You can push $200K depending on the Industry and location.
I don't think so
You averaged 67 hours per week in industry? WTF?
We all should have been computer programmers. 90 to 100k out of school and 40 to 50 hours a week max.
So no such thing as a $100k+ 40 hour industry job?
Agree, OP- it was both insane and brutal.
@Senior Associate 1, what exactly do you do there?
With the right resume... 100k and less stressful 45-55 hr/weeks seem reasonable
Went back to PA as I had a 100k industry role...for 3500 hours a year.
@40~ a week
Yea federal/ fed consulting is the way to go
SA1, I dream of the job in Texas that I can finally get.
